Are you going to explore D-Day history? Visit the invasion beaches, museums and other exciting locations, then Rose Garden is the perfect place to choose as a base for your excursions. We stayed in a small holiday apartment with a double bed in a separate room on the 1st floor and an easily foldable double sofa bed in the living room. Private toilet and bathroom. Fully equipped kitchen with stove, electric kettle, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. And with WiFi and TV. Plus a small terrace. Everything in perfect condition and not a single spot to put on the cleaning. Rose Garden is located in a quiet neighborhood in the northern part of Bayeux, about 2km from the center and with parking space for guests. Also a supermarket is nearby. The host couple John and Estelle are incredibly nice, welcoming and English-speaking. Serves a light breakfast every day by appointment. John offers personally guided tours with guests by appointment. We had really good communication with the host couple before our arrival.

There is a big Carrefour near the apartment, which is very convenient for grocery shopping. It is not far from old town, about 25mins walk. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is lovely, fresh from local bakery and well presented, very French.

The terrace sometimes felt a little enclosed but not a major issue as equally it provided privacy when required.

The property had everything we needed. Breakfast was a welcome addition. It was clean and well appointed and parking onsite is good.For anyone travelling to see the Normandy beaches it is ideal. Very well located for Bayeux and the wider coastal region. Estelle and John discreet but friendly and welcoming.

All new interior beautifully designed and high quality. Good location for exploring the beaches, fascinating museums and Bayeux itself. 20 minutes walk into town but we drove 5 minutes to a free car park which was only 5 minutes walk into town centre. Breakfast was a nice touch as was the guide to local area, restaurants etc. Highly recommended.

The only thing I can say is that the outside door does slam and may wake people up if they come in late, but as said a very minor point

The location was perfect, a simple 20 minute walk to the town, a supermarket at the end of the road. The breakfast was perfect for what we were after and delivered at a time that suited us.

I'm unsure whether this is an issue with Booking.com or the B&B but the linked online location map for the accommodation was very confusing. It showed the accommodation in a neighbouring road - Rue Andre Malraux. The entrance to the property is in Route de Vaux-sur-Aure and opposite to Rue Chateau Guillaume.

Estelle was very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The accommodation is extremely well placed for access to both Bayeux and the Normandy beaches. Our room was comfortable and access to the garden, with our own table and chairs, was very pleasant. Excellent off road parking. Nice breakfast served in our room. We were there four nights and a bit of variety in the breakfast would have been a bonus.

The stairs were a bit of a challenge - necessary as WC and shower were upstairs. John might want to look at securing the hand rail to the wall at the top as, though brand new it feels a bit rickety. Of course none of this is an issue if you’re <65

The location is excellent for exploring Bayeux and also as a base for visiting the Normandy D-Day beaches. The apartment was clean and having breakfast served each morning was a lovely way to start our day.

Estelle and John are perfect hostess and host. The suites are beautiful, well appointed excellently situated to absolutely any points of interested in western Normandy. Excellent choice. Would have liked to have stayed longer.

Beautifully clean and fresh. John and Estelle were lovely and welcoming and couldn’t do enough to make us feel at home. Within easy distance of the centre of Bayeux and all it has to offer, this was the perfect choice for somewhere to stay.

Great location, fantastic scenic path into Bayeux with takes about 25 minutes. But much nicer than the road way. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty to start your day. Apartment was very clean and tidy with everything you need.

A great location - peaceful and so easy to access from the cycle trails. A nice walk into town too. Very comfortable room with many personal touches. Out hosts made us feel so welcome!

Location on the edge of town. Very quiet but good access to the center by car and it is walkable as well. Breakfast was fresh bread, juice and coffee with a little fruit. Estelle was very helpful responding to questions about the area.

Friendly host. Light, fresh breakfast and coffee was a good start to the day. Off street parking for our car.was a bonus. Good location - only a couple minutes drive to one of the free car parking sites close to the town centre.

I loved the walking path action the street from the property. The apartment was new a beautiful.
