Really an Airbnb in a slickly converted garage. Clean, comfortable and modern - everything works. A little more than deux pas from the centre but close enough to walk easily from a very quiet central suburb just across the river. Hosts are friendly and could not be more helpful

En route to the address we found barriers in the street and detours that took us into dark sketchy areas along railroad tracks. When we finally got to the neighborhood there were no lights on in any of the houses and dark exteriors with no numbers showing. When I called the number given, the man answering asked why we weren't coming in. I said the houses were dark and we had thought we would find some kind of indication that we were expected at one of the houses. No lights came on in any of the houses or on their exteriors, so I said we didn't feel comfortable getting out and finding the house. (We worried that perhaps it wasn't even a real booking listing. There weren't any reviews yet, and it seemed like a unsafe thing to walk into a dark place no one had reviewed that could possibly be a scam. After our misadventure driving there, with no note from the owner giving us a current route to take around the barrier and detours, we decided it was foolish to walk into a dark situation that could be unsafe. The only direction he had written to us was how to unlock to enter through his garage). The owner did not come out or turn on lights, so we told him we were sorry, but we didn't feel safe with the situation and would be leaving. We booked another booking.com place for the night and later asked for a refund. The host refused my request, didn't reply to my email and told Booking he would not waive the fee. Albi is a beautiful city with lovely places to stay. We recommend you find an alternative to this place.
