Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

We were warmly welcomed by the owner mrs Nathalie Crolais. The room is ample with windows on 3 sides. Well appointed and very clean. An en suite bathroom with large shower stall was at the back of the room. We stayed 4 nights. A nice breakfast with homemade products like cakes, cookies and jams in a hall as grande as a castle hall. Only 500 m walking to the seafront with a little boulevard with creperies and restaurants. You can see Mme Crolais has over 10 years of experience.

This beautiful villa has sea views overlooking Veulette s/Mer. It was originally designed by a Scotsman who lived in it for several years: it could be located in the Highlands! It is like a small chateau which also has a dark past (during WWII) but has recovered and is really lovely. A short walk (500m/ten minutes) takes one to the seaside village of Veulette s/Mer. The landlady, Nathalie, was most welcoming and booked us a table in a wonderful restaurant on the sea front, Restaurant de la Mer. Very reasonable fees and close to St. Valery en Caux.

FranceThis is NOT a dislike but .. .. .. .. the property is on a rather steep slope and this might be a problem for some. I'm 82 years old and managed OK. I would advise anyone to talk to the host if this is likely to affect you before you book. For me, the location was stunning.
From the moment we were received to our departure our host was the kindness of persons. We were met half was down the drive, shown to a parking space and walked up to the house. Once inside the most wonderful breakfast / sitting room reminiscent of a Scottish Lairds, with a hugh fire place sporting a warm and welcoming log fire, set the scene for our four night stay. Our room, with the four poster bed overlooked the well maintained front lawn. Everything in the room, including the bathroom was much to our liking. Breakfast was at a fine table for six where we met and enjoyed the company of the other guests. Our host laid a table of different china sets each day and breakfast was much in line with local and home made produce. Our host was most helpful with information including restaurants and places to visit and in deed this part of Normandy has much to see and do. A visit to the nearby town of Veules-les-Roses and also Fecamp with it's fishing museum are an absolute must. We enjoyed the evening stroll along the seafront of Veulettes-sur-mer and visited the monument to the crew of a downed B-17 from WW2. the return walk at sunset is again not to be missed. On the downside in the property, the boiler system is playing up, but an electric radiator in the room resolved that. The property is very secure with entrance gates and our host has a system for 'last in-lock up' which works well. We have no hesitation of recommending this wonderful find and we're already looking forward to booking again.

GermanyThere are no common places (except the garden which was windy or cool in August on most days). On a day we wanted to relax in the garden, we were kindly suggested to spend time in town as the host had guests coming over for a family gathering. The photo of the room with sofas is misleading because this is the living room of the host and is closed to guests, except breakfast serving times. Breakfast is served only at 8:30 or 9 am. The check in time is between 5 and 8 pm but one day before our travel, we were asked to arrive before 6:30 pm. because the host had to leave after 6:30 pm.
Homemade jams at breakfast. Clean bedsheets.

BelgiumI traveled on behalf of my company. I asked the host for an invoice. She told me she would talk to her accountant and send one. After a few weeks and no answer I checked again. She answered she would get back to me in September. Now it's October and almost three months after our stay, and I still don't have the invoice. Therefore, despite the house & room being very beautiful, it has become a very negative story for me as my accountant is not happy at all with the missing invoice.
Well situated, quiet street at walking distance from seaside and restaurants.
