Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomLe Cuisinier en Combraille is set in an idyllic location, nestled in the Auvergne countryside. It is a gorgeous house, much care taken to decorate and accessorise. Jacco and Cees are wonderful hosts, with great attention to detail and the food is fine dining at its best. 3 courses and a muse bouche! Totally delicious. Or bedroom and bed were very comfortable indeed and we had everything we needed and more. Thank you Jacco and Cees

NetherlandsEverything was great and worth another visit
We had a nice stay at the property which is in an idyllic and quiet setting in the Auvergne. The garden is full of flowers and plants and it was a delight to sit there and look out over the fields. The dinner was delicious and served on the cozy terrace. The owners were very pleasant, and they paused for a chat if one wanted to, but at the same time kept a discreet distance. The bedroom was tastefully decorated.

United KingdomSituated in a quiet, verdant valley, this is wonderful escape. The property has beautifully kept gardens and a lovely covered terrace. Jacco's cooking is excellent and the breakfast is also far superior to most French B&Bs. Jacco and Cees are charming hosts. The rooms themselves are fairly small and being in the basement of the house are a little dark and have a very slight cellar scent. But they are well equipped and each has its own patio area.

United KingdomNothing.
I stayed here for one night, travelling on my motorbike en route to Montpellier. Jakob went out of his way to offer me parking for my bike in his barn. Their house is a beautifully restored building in an idyllic, rural setting and they immediately made me feel at home. There's a lovely garden and the my loft room had superb views over the countryside. Dinner was made by Jakob and exceptional. Had I not had a long ride the next day I would have sampled some of Cees's excellent cellar.

United KingdomThis was our second stay at Le Cuisiner and it didn't disappoint. Jakob and Cees are such warm and welcoming hosts. The location is gorgeous, its idyllic, very tucked away and peaceful. Our room, a superior double with terrace leading into the beautiful garden was really lovely, comfortable and very spacious. We loved the painting of the cows! Dinner which was served outside on the deck (we stayed in August) was a highlight. Sadly we only stayed the one night as we were heading South but this is a perfect spot and a wonderful place to stay. We will definitely return and for longer next time.

Everything about it, from the rooms, the gardens and the delicious meals, was incredibly beautiful and presented with a real sense of care and attention to detail. The whole experience is thanks to, and a reflection of the vision, talents and energy of Jacco and Cees, who make you feel welcome, special and lucky. Jacco's cooking is spectacular. AustraliaWe would have liked to have stayed longer.
Extremely welcoming and relaxing environment. Beautiful informal gardens to enjoy. Homely but elegant French Country interiors. Location was quiet…. nearest village with facilities 10km away. Small number of guests made mealtimes quite homely … set evening menus were of excellent quality and thoroughly enjoyed (of course we were asked if we had any dietary requirements). A good choice of wines were offered. Breakfast had more choices from light continental to cooked… very fresh ingredients with homemade condiments. The hosts were very helpful and excellent with us as English speakers.
