The beds are big But very low - basically Ned consist of two matresses put together. It was nice big room but there wasn’t any place for our things - chairs, wardrobe and table were ful of decoration ie. Dry flowers. Not existant GSM signal. There is wi fi- we came late and didn’t find the wi fi code hidden in decoration pot?! No shadows on the Windows. A lot of mosquitos - no mosquito nets on the Windows. More attention should be given to comfort of the guests. It has a potential of a romantic place for couples but Among others it is not at all sound proof- you Can hear all the guests. Would appreciate fresh bread for breakfast.

The little B&B has a lot of charm but our room although big was not comfortable. The location, the charm- a lot of details when you enter the house, clean, , beautiful garden, parking, solid breakfast.

After the good reviews, terribly dissapointing. Structurally a wreck with big cracks in the front facade (see pic). Hard to find as small nameplate at ground level was obscured by plants and weeds. Veru small hamlet and - as mentioned elsewhere - local restaurant usually shut so we had to drive to nearest town. On arrival, no-one in attendance, just pieces of paper stuck on a tree to give directions to each room. Lighting dodgy, had to use phone. Basic room and - very bad - the linen was damp with and mildly malodourous. (It was autumn and cool which might be a factor - the house is old and damp). Breakfast was terrible - a sort of dry chocolate cake, tepid coffee and rolls. The jam was the only OK bit: home-made. Dried fruit in a jar had mould on it.

Only thing to like wsa the home-made jam at breakfast.

Unstaffed in the evening, no or extremely slow response to question sent by email, booking.com. Phone transferred to answering machine, without reply. Important as no eating facilities in village and since hiking was relying on using food that I was assured provided and could not see. Apparently one page of introductory book provided this info. Not convenient for Camino St Jacques since nearby bridge is closed. Asked about lift, beyond closed bridge, was told to use service from neighbouring alberge hostel which did not exist and when provided to those staying at hostel for good will of volunteer only. Chambre hôte finally and kindly provided a lift to starting point avoiding bridge closure.

Ancient old building full of character. Possibility (when you know where to look) to buy and microwave an evening meal.
