Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomRather noisy due to wooden floors creaking from guests upstairs etc which is to be expected in an old house. The shower in our bathroom has multiple outlets and options however none of them worked only the small shower head and that needs descaling. For guests information, be aware there are no locks on any of the doors at all.
Large rooms, nice decor, nice pool, easy parking and charming hosts.

A real pleasure to stay, and the perfect location to visit Riberac market on a Friday morning, thank you Florence, we’ll definitely return!

United KingdomNothing, it was fabulous.
The house was built nearly three centuries ago and retains the elegance and glamour of a fine home, of that era. There is plenty of parking, including immediately outside the front door. Our landlady was warm and welcoming, a lovely person. The bedroom was spacious and comfortable, beautifully furnished to suit the period of the house. The bathroom, again spacious, had one of those footed baths that I love! it is equipped with anything a guest might need, during a stay. It is the first time, in my life, that I have felt as though I was staying in a palace. Breakfast was good, with orange juice, croissants and bread, butter and homemade strawberry jam. Coffee or tea.

United KingdomLeaving!
A wonderfully well-named period property that oozes French charm and which Flo makes a welcoming home from home. Fresh pastries from the boulangerie next door for breakfast, the lovely, leafy back garden and swimming pool, the location right on the main market square in delightful Ribérac were all great but our hostess made everything extra welcoming and special. We will go again!

United KingdomWe would have preferred a bit more privacy in the en-suite shower room, eg, a blind at the window.
Breakfast was very nice, the location was superb and a nice little pool in the back garden. The hostess was excellent.

United KingdomNothing really
This was a very typical French experience, and I felt I was staying at a friend's house as opposed to a B and B. Marie-Florence, the proprietor, was very friendly and served home-made strawberry and apricot jam with the continental breakfast with continuous coffee or tea of your choice.

United Statesthis is an old home (maison de Maître) with lots of stairs but thankfully we got help for our luggage.
A beautiful property with plenty of charm. The room was so big and nicely decorated. Florence, our host, is lovely and accommodated us at the last minute when there was some confusion around our booking. She even took care of calling local restaurants to ensure that they were open for dinner for us. The breakfast in the veranda felt like stepping back in time in a beautiful setting.

United KingdomDo not stay here. We were left without a room after arriving in the evening following a long day of travelling. Apparently there was a double booking, the owners are clearly incapable of coordinating their booking schedules between booking sites. They were not even there to help us with finding an alternative hotel, and communicated all this by phone through their son. It was badly handled. There are other reviews saying the same thing, we ignored them, but sadly it was the same situation for us. It was not great to be left without a room on a busy August weekend when we were there for a wedding. I would avoid and seek an alternative hotel where you know your booking will be secure.
Nothing.
