    Nothing.

It was a stopover for us on our way to the ferry in Cherbourg and it had everything we needed. The host Adrien was very friendly and helpful. The food and drinks offered were much appreciated - the pizzas were delicious!

There are no close by amenities. We were bicycling from Rennes and made the mistake of not stopping for food before we arrived. If you have a car this isn't an issue, but on bikes you need to go into Hede to find a shop. We decided not to do this, and enjoyed the host's wood-oven pizza and a bottle of wine, but it would have been more comfortable if we'd stocked up before arriving. Cleaning supplies are provided, but there no basics such as teabags or coffee. The cleaning situation is a bit unusual. The deal is that you have to clean the place yourself - strip beds, take out rubbish, sweep, wipe shower - or pay an additional fee for them to do it. We were only there a night so cleaned ourselves very easily in the morning, and it wasn't a hassle. But I can see it being a negative for some people.

A great location for cyclists riding the Voie Verte or a quiet romantic retreat, this cottage is just a short distance from La Magdelaine, one of the picturesque 11 locks of Hédé-Bazouges. It is at the very entrance to a tiny village, adjoining the owner's garden but very private with its own parking, and a secluded terrace area with sun chairs and large dining table and umbrella. The cottage itself is really cool, with lots of natural wood, large windows and a romantic open loft bedroom that can be curtained off for privacy. We were 3 people and used the downstairs folding sofa as well, and it was comfortable. There is a fully equipped kitchen, and the bathroom has a fancy modern multi-spray shower. It's all new and clean and well maintained. The hosts are very welcoming and charming, and did a great job of being accessible without intruding. They offer a menu that includes home-made pizzas and other snacks, drinks, and simple foods which we very much enjoyed. They also offer breakfast, but as we were leaving early we didn't try it.

It would have been nice to have had a few basics like coffee pods for the machine. Pillows not great. Towels did not work very well.

Beautiful new unit of accommodation. Great outside space. Comfortable bed and excellent shower. Lots of space and only a 5 minute cycle from the canal and tow paths. Easy to access using the key box outside. Host visited to say hello which was nice.

it needs to be made much more clear on the info pages online before hitting the 'book this property' button that there is a list of what you ne ed to do before leaving property. first time we have ever had to strip beds, empty bins and bring to central disposal area, sweep floors, clean toilet etc before vacating. if catching early flight ot ferry you heed to allow time to do all of this!! cotton sheets rather than the mix material would have made the sleep much nicer - particularly when hot. another fan if sofa bed in use as a small house the heat doesn't disappear quickly. a toaster or a grilling device would have been great!

location, cleanliness and good communication from host. really good for an overnight stop.

Lovely house, equipped with everything, tastefully furnished. Adrien is an excellent host. We had some problems at the beginning, related to the heating and the kitchen, which he promptly solved. He was very helpful in giving us tips on what to visit in the region. If you wish, there is the possibility of trying typical local dishes prepared directly by his family. I highly recommend it even though perhaps the region is at its best in spring/summer.
