What a beautiful property. We learned from the owner the story of how they came to buy it. The swimming pool/jacuzzi were lovely additions. A classical chateau which has been kept in good condition. We felt like it was a private house just for us. They catered for my allergies without any fuss for dinner and breakfast. The other people in our group also had homemade yogurts.

Our shower felt a bit precarious, the shower head was quite loose. The dining room needed at bit more of a make-over, less village hall feel. Although they did serve dinner on the terrace. The wine was mainly warm.

-The staff is good and friendly, I enjoy chatting with them. Good to learn more chateau history from them. -Bed is comfortable. -Room is spacious with jacuzzi in the bathroom - Close to train station, surround by wineries in the area.

    - It is not really a hotel room in chateau, but a guest room in someone home. - Common area doesn’t make me want to stay, garden is quite messy, pool is not maintained, and staircase isn’t very clean, common room furniture is old - this is the only hotel in my trip that I need to pay for travel baby cots (€20 per night, not even a proper crib) - as the hotel are run by two men, the choice of toilet airwave, shower gel could be a bit manly - fruits in the breakfast are usually quite dry, or over-ripe, maybe better get some fresher fruits or not serve it.

The breakfast and dinners were terrific. I was so impressed that Bernard would make me dinner very early by French standards since I was arriving after almost 24 hours of travel.

    Nothing.

The owner was a very good cook. The chateau is unique! A one-off-a-kind stay! We enjoyed it very much.

We would have enjoyed the pool if it wasn’t on the building.

I loved staying in a large bedroom in what looked like a castle. It had all modern amenities. Breakfast and dinner were excellent. Wine was also very good. All prices were very reasonable. Bernard gave us great service at all times. The property has a heated pool, which I did not expect, and I was able to keep up my swimming exercise routine.

We had a great time. This was a last minute decision when plans changed and the chateau looked interesting. We would definitely stay here again and hope to next time we are in that area of France. They are doing a great job with the property and I look forward to seeing their next steps.

We had a fantastic and pleasant stay at this wonderful location. Filled with history and beauty, still keeping up with the standards and comfort you’d expect from a premium location in 2023. Mr. Renard has a lot of knowledge and went above and beyond to make our visit to Bordeaux as perfect as possible

Breakfast very satisfactory. Because we arrived in the evening, surrounding restaurants were closed, so the host prepared a small meal for us with wine. Very kind to do that at 10pm. We had a great stay in an enormous room. The host also showed us around the Chateau next morning. It is clear he is very proud of what he is doing. My wife engaged in great conversation with hostess who is originally from Portugal.

A unique experience of living in a large chateau in the form of a castle that is over 150 years old. Free parking, dogs are welcome.

Personally I had such a coincidence that it was noisy to sleep - first all evening until 1 am people were talking under the window and I couldn't sleep, and at night the pipes in the bathroom started to make noise very loudly, water was constantly flowing and woke me up - I was able to relax because of the good air and nature and even sleep wll, but not because of the silence. By the way, next to the chateau is a railroad, but if you close the window, you can not hear the train.

Close you eyes and feel like a baron 250 years ago. Classic chateau experience. The new owners couple Mrs and Mr Renard invite you in a very personal way. Their efforts and enthousaism compensate for the somewhat simple service and decoration emptiness the former owners left that needs to be refilled. To own a chateau was dream came true for Mr Renard. We respect the hard work it requires to manage a small scale historic venue. We wish the Renards all the best and understanding guests.

You sometimes feel you are not a guest but as if you interfere in another home.
