A great experience. Beautiful chateau in lovely grounds run by a husband and wife team. We enjoyed a swim in the pool and a stroll around the gardens. Dinner was delightful. Great flavours and very attractive presentation. Breakfast too was really high quality. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

This is a proper chateau hotel, lovely traditional decor and furniture. The room was large and the bed was very comfortable with an up-to-date bathroom. The drawing room was nicely furnished as was the dining room which was perfect for fine dining. The quality and value of the food and wine was great and the breakfast had more choice than I've seen at other hotels abroad. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Fabulous, beautiful hotel in the most peaceful location. Wonderful gardens and a beautiful pool, delicious food and the hosts Catherine and Yves are super attentive and kind. Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone wanting some p&q on a trip through France.

The meal in the restaurant was exceptional. We tried the local caviar, had amazing wine pairings, and everything was exquisite! We got the family room, with our daughter having her room in the tower! It was amazing to have a night in a chateau like this.

We arrived on a rainy day and thought it was worth trying to check in early. Bat at mid-day there was no one around, only a sign that said come back after 4 p.m. When we returned, I asked whether breakfast was included in the room cost and was told it was. When we checked out after an excellent breakfast the next morning, we were charged for breakfast. Between no staff around at our early arrival and the remoteness of the chateau, I felt that our stay would have been more enjoyable if we had been travelling with friends.

Chateau de LaLande is a little out of the way, but beautifully restored with upholstered walls and lovely gardens. Our room was large with a very comfortable bed. Dinner in the garden was lovely, and the food was excellent.

Charge for parking, in a rural area, with plentiful room, is probably excessive.

Breakfast, cooked freshly by the owner chef, was pricey but well worth it. It was served either in the beautifully apointed breakfast room, or, weather permitting, in the exquisite courtyard.

Exceptionally friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Professional & perfect in every way. Beautiful building expertly run & super to be surrounded by antiques & old books. Gorgeous courtyard setting for a glass of wine Al fresco if the weather had been better. Highly recommended.

This was a treat for us as a one-night stay during our 3 weeks in France. The family room was awesome - our 15 yr old son had the round turret room - such a cool place to stop! Our bed was the biggest bed I have ever seen and soooo comfortable. It was all the old-world luxury we hoped for. Really friendly couple running the place. Beautiful old chateau. Pre-dinner drinks, nibbles, the evening meal we had booked in their dining room - was absolutely outstanding - 5*****. The included breakfast was delicious too - it was a very memorable stay.

Fantastic stay that exceeded expectations. The chateau is amazing; photos cannot do it justice - amazing, beautiful, peaceful, relaxing. Make sure to eat at the chateau restaurant - not to be missed; food is just so amazing using local ingredients and beautifully presented. Room very comfortable, spacious, will all amenities required (hair drier, TV, soap/conditioner, bath robes, etc.). We would absolutely come back.

The lady in charge of welcoming us was very friendly and humane, it was a memorable stay that we’ll cherish. The room is clean and full of fancy, vintage castle style. Here can treat the women’s princesses dream!

Warm welcome from Katharine, lovely staff, tasteful interior with lots of spaces to sit outside. The dinner service was fabulous with a well thought out set menu (a la carte an option too). Breakfast was plentiful and varied. Our suite had a very comfortable bed. No noise. Will be back.
