    Everything was perfect.

Our whole experience here, such a privilege to stay here. The breakfast was the best in all our travels. A calm and peaceful ambience. We bought food from a local supermarket which was excellent and a short walk away.We ate in the beautiful breakfast room of the chateau as it was chilly and showery outside.

    Nothing

Comfortable and reasonably priced, historical 19th century b&b with loads of character such as art nouveau design throughout the castle and a wonderful park (including a lake) for relaxing walks. The b&b is run by very friendly hosts, who give -at the start of a nice breakfast- an enjoyable and interesting explanation of the chateau, its owners and its history. Breakfast is above standard with fresh pancakes, freshly baked baquettes, croissants, pain au chocolats, chocolate cakes and home made jams. Accompanied with fresh orange juice and a never ending coffee pot!

The small road from the gate to the Château was not in the best condition, as I was on my motorbike I did not want to drive on it in the dark.

I like the isolation of the place in the middle of all the lovely green

    Nothing, everything exceeded our expectations.

The setting is peaceful and surrounded by nature and perfect for a quiet getaway. The interiors strike a lovely balance between preserving the château’s history and offering modern comforts. Everything was clean, tastefully decorated, and felt genuinely welcoming. We were also warmly invited to explore the beautiful gardens, which added to the experience.

We had to call to get the gate code, that could have been in the email. We did not have a front door key so could not let ourselves in at night and also had to call for that. It was fine though, minor things.

We were the only guests, they only rent out one room in the fall. So it felt very personal and luxurious. The room was spacious and had a bathtub, breakfast was very nice with home made jams. The terrain looked beautiful, old trees and a lot of little flowers.

This Chateau was a pleasure to stay in being set in very nice countryside and nicely furnished inside. The hosts were very hospitable and the breakfast was very good. A fallen tree across the very long drive in a recent storm made for a small detour across the adjacent field a necessity. Our room was large and very comfortable as was the bathroom.

What a great place. When you turn from busy N7 into the small road, you would not imagine how peaceful and secluded the Chateau is, following the small private road for another kilometer or so. The rooms are lovingly decorated, overlooking the fields and lake around. The hosts are very welcoming and the breakfast is beyond the usual French B&B offering. We arrived by bicycle and could safely store the bikes overnight.

You need to call the Chateau for the access code at the gate.

A one night stop on my way from the north towards Nevers (fantastic highway)... Warm welcome, nice people, good room, good bathroom, room with a view on forest and lake, very good breakfast, great place to spend one or more nights. Why take a standard hotel if you can have a special experience with this chateau and these nice people. Good value for money but more importantly: a nice experience that adds colour to your life :).

The hotel had a musty smell and was very cold. It would have been nice to have had the owners turn on the heaters before we arrived so that it would be warm and inviting. However, we also felt what it would have felt like back in the day!

I thought the property was beautiful! The castle was old and historic and the grounds were relaxing and vast!

It would have been nice to have had an English news channel on the television.

We loved the size of the room. It was carefully appointed with all the necessities as well as some luxuries like bathrobes. Breakfast was served in a beautiful room facing the garden. The breakfast itself was a delicious spread of freshly baked croissant, baguette with homemade fruit jams, homemade crepes and chocolate cake.

We stayed for one night at the amazing Château de Praslins in a family room (with our two children). Very comfortable and spacious with a stunning view of the lake and forest. Thank you so much to our wonderful hosts, Marie-Ange and Jacques who made us feel so welcome. The breakfast was probably one of the finest we've had anywhere. Crepes (a big hit with the kids), delicious cakes, croissants, homemade jams...an amazing spread, served in a beautiful, grand room. We took a walk in the forest around the lake before leaving. It was the perfect stop-over during our journey south that has given us very happy memories, and we'd stay again without hesitation. Thank you!
