Our whole experience here, such a privilege to stay here. The breakfast was the best in all our travels. A calm and peaceful ambience. We bought food from a local supermarket which was excellent and a short walk away.We ate in the beautiful breakfast room of the chateau as it was chilly and showery outside.

    Everything was perfect.

Copious breakfast with fresh bread, crepes, yogurt, cheese, ham, jam, croissants, etc. The owner herself shared the history of the castle, in French. The setting and the view on the lake from our room. Large room with high ceilings.

Perhaps a digit code or key to open the entrance when we returned after 11pm so you don't have to call for the owners to open the door and also early in the morning to get OUT of the chateau to retrieve things in the car. The hand held shower didn't work so you basically had to take a bath and waste water. Note: you need to call to get the code for the "front" gate which is a kilometer from the castle and then drive along an totally driveable but unpaved road.

    Property response:

I’m sorry. For the hand held shower works, you have to open the water tap first.

The hosts were very prompt and friendly with all communication. The bed was very comfortable and a good night's sleep. We had a lovely view over the lake and even saw a deer.

Comfortable and reasonably priced, historical 19th century b&b with loads of character such as art nouveau design throughout the castle and a wonderful park (including a lake) for relaxing walks. The b&b is run by very friendly hosts, who give -at the start of a nice breakfast- an enjoyable and interesting explanation of the chateau, its owners and its history. Breakfast is above standard with fresh pancakes, freshly baked baquettes, croissants, pain au chocolats, chocolate cakes and home made jams. Accompanied with fresh orange juice and a never ending coffee pot!

I like the isolation of the place in the middle of all the lovely green

The small road from the gate to the Château was not in the best condition, as I was on my motorbike I did not want to drive on it in the dark.

The setting is peaceful and surrounded by nature and perfect for a quiet getaway. The interiors strike a lovely balance between preserving the château’s history and offering modern comforts. Everything was clean, tastefully decorated, and felt genuinely welcoming. We were also warmly invited to explore the beautiful gardens, which added to the experience.

    Nothing, everything exceeded our expectations.

We were the only guests, they only rent out one room in the fall. So it felt very personal and luxurious. The room was spacious and had a bathtub, breakfast was very nice with home made jams. The terrain looked beautiful, old trees and a lot of little flowers.

We had to call to get the gate code, that could have been in the email. We did not have a front door key so could not let ourselves in at night and also had to call for that. It was fine though, minor things.

This Chateau was a pleasure to stay in being set in very nice countryside and nicely furnished inside. The hosts were very hospitable and the breakfast was very good. A fallen tree across the very long drive in a recent storm made for a small detour across the adjacent field a necessity. Our room was large and very comfortable as was the bathroom.

What a great place. When you turn from busy N7 into the small road, you would not imagine how peaceful and secluded the Chateau is, following the small private road for another kilometer or so. The rooms are lovingly decorated, overlooking the fields and lake around. The hosts are very welcoming and the breakfast is beyond the usual French B&B offering. We arrived by bicycle and could safely store the bikes overnight.

Château de Praslins is a very charmful location. The rooms are very spacious and in style. We had a beautiful view on the grounds from our window. The breakfast room is just marvelous. If you are interested, the hostess will tell you about the history of the castle.

Like stepping back in time to live how the French aristocracy lived. A wonderful selection of breakfast pastries and breads . Beautiful grounds to walk around

Nothing really but as it is a very old building you need to be pragmatic
