This was a very enjoyable and comfortable stay, from the friendly welcome onwards. Very convenient for bayeaux and the coast, with many eating opportunities in the nearby village. A very good breakfast and spacious grounds, the topiary attractive. We will definitely stay there again if we are ever visiting the area and strongly recommend it.

We wonder if the indoor plunge pool is ever brought into use?

A warm welcome. Helpful staff. A lovely, clean, comfortable property. Breakfast was great. Understated luxury sums up Chateau du Bu. Would recommend. Thank you for our stay.

    All good. 😊

The place is a stunning Chateau in amazing grounds. A little way from of any towns, but well worth it given the peace & tranquillity.

Absolutely spectacular setting. The grounds and the Château were absolutely beautiful. The location is perfect as well. Close enough to town to go for dinner, but also such a peaceful environment out in the countryside.

This was the best place I have ever stayed. The château is absolutely stunning, with a unique atmosphere that combines history and luxury. Everything was perfectly organized, beautifully maintained, and exceeded all expectations.

There was nothing to dislike – everything was truly exceptional.

Wonderful place. Warm welcome and beautiful surroundings. Thoroughly recommended and would return in a heartbeat.

Lack of aircon but it’s a castle so I ought to check myself.

Gorgeous old Chateau in the middle of the Normandy countryside. Lovely surrounding gardens, a cosy atmosphere and beautifully appointed room - even a heated toilet seat!

Beautiful property in a rural location, well maintained gardens and a happy duck pond and rose garden out the back. A perfect stop over for our little road trip through Normandy. We were late arriving on a Sunday evening, despite this owner of the property was very communicative and make sure we knew how to enter the property and had everything we needed. To our delight we had been upgraded which was a very special treat the room was amazing very spacious with views of the front and back gardens. It was a very peaceful stay. We felt like we had the whole place to ourselves.

    Nothing not to like

    The gardens were superb

The reception staff seemed to be based off-site after 9 pm, and any communication had to via an intercom or by phone. This made it difficult to raise concerns over our car being licked and chased down the driveway by an over-attentive donkey.

It was just fantastic! All the animals were truly the cutest addition to this lovely château 🏰

The breakfast was great but a tad overpriced for what is offered.

The outside was nice. Manon (spelling?) was very nice and helpful.

It is very secluded with a drive needed (15-30 minutes )for lunch and dinner. Nothing really to do there unless you want to read and have total seclusion. Decor in rooms. Bathroom dated in a cheap way. The place had an awful odor (sewer upstairs, cat urine?) in parlor area and halls. Had to air our room out. Cats outside who come inside if door is open. Breakfast was extra and baked goods were “grocery store” type. No staff around after early evening. Too expensive for what you get.

We stayed in Chateau du Bu for 3 nights, and it was a perfect experience. The chateau is beautiful, quiet, and very well-maintained. The facilities of the chateau and rooms are abundant and modern. We can even enjoy Netflix for free. The salon and dining room of the chateau were cozy, and we enjoyed the sunset there. The surroundings of the chateau are really nice; such a huge and beautiful area belongs to you. Breakfast was ordered with additional cost, but it was substantial. The chateau is 10 minutes' driving distance from a town with Carrefour and restaurants.

It will be better if there is a lift. The noise of heating is a little bit annoying.
