Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThis is my favourite booking experience ever and I've stayed in scores of places. A beautiful old house in a picturesque town. Our bedroom was massive, not just a comfy big bed but also table and chairs, sofa, etc. All beautiful antique furniture so loads of character. Spacious tasteful bathroom, quality shower. There was even a little library room! Guests have access to a pleasant courtyard garden. Parking was easy - marked parking places on street outside the house. Breakfast was lovely with home made jams. Host silvan was so friendly and welcoming to us and our dogs. This is one of the few booking places I'd love to return to and i took the card to put on my fridge :)

United KingdomThe is a fantastic characterful old property. I was on the top floor of the building. There was a lovely tiled floor throughout and the bed was super comfy. There was a shower and also a roll top bath in a seperate room if you wanted to soak for a few hours. The owners were very welcoming and we talked using Google translate. The property is a short walk from the town which has plenty of shops and restaurants. In the morning a simple continental breakfast of baguette, jam, croissant orange juice yoghurt and coffee. I can't recall whether the property description stated that a breakfast was included or not so it was a pleasant surprise. The courtyard garden out the back was lovely and kept my bicycle safe overnight. A perfect stay; thank you 😁

South AfricaI would have liked to plug in my hairdryer close to the mirror in the bathroom, but this is a minor issue.
The house and its decorations offered a pleasant visit to yesteryear. The owner was very generous and invited us to use all the facilities in the house, the kitchen, the garden, even the library! We communicated effectively via translation Apps.

What an amazing place to stay. Old fashioned hospitality and so very comfortable. It felt like a home & I loved it. Breakfast was so delicious, croissant & French bread, with home made jams, apricot & wild strawberry. Also 4 types of local honey! Parking was on the street but very easy. I will book there again!

FranceI only wish I could have stayed longer! haha No, I have zero complaints.
Parking on the road outside was available, making it easy to access. The owner was charming, warm and friendly, and spoke slowly so that I could more easily understand him (my French isn't the best), and took my suitcase up a flight of stairs for me and took me into a lovely room. I was just delighted with it. Moments later, he tapped at the door, apologizing profusely that he'd put me in the wrong room. I felt momentarily disappointed, thinking, uh oh, I'm single and I'm going to get a lesser, maybe smaller room. Hardly! He brought me up to the next floor and I discovered it was an entire suite, a huge bedroom with two oversized twin beds (more like 1-1/2 each), lots of amenities including a/c, a large fridge with a complimentary 1.5-liter bottle of mineral water, table and chairs, coffee and tea accoutrements with kettle and drip machine and a tin of ground coffee, a separate very nice bathroom with glass shower (the toilet was a bit loud—some sort of efficiency setup to reduce water usage, but I felt badly for anyone below me so I made sure I didn't flush between 11pm and 8am) and there was a separate sitting room loaded with books and stereo, and there was a large TV back in the bedroom as well. Given the price, I was quite overwhelmed! He also showed me the charming walled in rear garden and assured me it was fine to let me dog go out there. (I waved a roll of poop bags and he laughed.) The neighborhood was quiet that night. Honestly, I can't think of the slightest negative. They even had a lovely terry robe hanging in the bathroom just like the one I have at home! I did not avail myself of breakfas as I don't eat in the mornings, so I can't comment on that, but the coffee sure smelled great when I was heading out. He invited me to have a cup but I declined, knowing I had a drive later. I would not hesitate in the least to return to this place. Just super!
