Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BulgariaUsually, hotels in Paris are old, expensive, and have tiny rooms of 12–14 square meters. Here, however, the room is 22 square meters – spacious, comfortable, and equipped with everything you need for a pleasant stay. What makes an extremely good expression is the availability of a coffee machine in the reception 24 hours. The coffee is very good.

United KingdomI stayed in the hotel for 3 days. Due to my mistake the booking was done twice for the same hotel and hence I was asked to recheck-in after 2 days. During our second check in a room was provided where the air con wasn’t working which was reported and then after some hassle a new room was allocated. We had to put in a lot of effort to move the room in a single day which wasn’t ideal with a dog. Some of the staff were really helpful though.

United KingdomBeing picky: it is a bit tired inside and the decor needs updating and the WiFi is woeful - but then hotel WiFi usually is…
The location is excellent - the closest Metro is Richard Lenoir (a 2-minute walk) on Line 5. It is 5 stops from Gare du Nord and 4 from Gare de l’Est. It is very close to Bastille and Place de la République and it’s in a very nice area with lots of bars and restaurants nearby. The staff are friendly and helpful (with excellent English). It is good value for such a central location. The breakfast buffet is good and there’s a coffee machine in reception, from which you can grab a coffee to go. My room (311) was spacious and comfortable - there’s a little kitchen with fridge & microwave and there’s a bathroom (obviously). It even has a nice little balcony. Overall, it’s hard to fault.

FranceHigh price
Spacious and clean. I think still quite expensive, but I guess for Paris in the middle of summer that’s a normal price in a city centre.

United KingdomThe shower wasn’t the best, shower screen too small, bath plug didn’t pop up. The bath was quite slippery, hand grips would help as it was awkward with screen. Maybe an extra towel or 2. The bathroom was clean but the tiles needed grouting.
Location was good, close to Metro stations, shops ,cafes and restaurants. Area felt safe for walking at night. Plenty of choice for breakfast, liked it was self service.

PhilippinesThe air-con can be cooler and wish they had a bidet.
We liked that it was very spacious and that the shower and toilet are separate. The free water and coffee by the lobby was also a nice touch. The staff, especially Juna was very nice and always greets and talks to us with a smile. They accommodated our request to keep the room for our 3rd night, which we are very grateful for.

IndiaWhile it wasn't a standout stay but it served its purpose.
We were allowed 1 hour early check-in, which is usually not the hotel's policy as stated by the receptionist, so thank you for that. But then in return, she asked us to subscribe for the hotel's website which already had a reference code in it. The apartment was clean and had all the basic amenities, size was fine with a little kitchen and a backside view. We booked 1 bedroom apartment for 4 of us but then we had to assemble our own sofa-bed for other 2 of us. Free coffee at the entrance lobby was much appreciable and the location was convenient too,

United KingdomRoom didn't look anything like the photos on the website. Only one armchair and only one bedside table (for a double bed) - second provided on request. Kitchen was minute - ample plates and cutlery, but only two mugs and two cereal bowls. Nice to have dishwasher, but insufficient soap tablets provided for length of stay.
Location ideal -short walk (5 mins) to nearest metro station. Free coffee on the lobby. Storage of bags when needed. Umbrellas on loan when weather inclement. Plenty of storage space in room.

NetherlandsWe stayed in the apartment room. No AC that you can control inside the room so it’s either very hot or too noisy with windows open. The beds were very hard. Not a comfortable night.
The parking is good and to us very important. Right under the hotel cost 30 euro per 24hrs and is secure with two gates with direct access to reception and rooms. Enough space for larger cars but no charging for EVs.
