How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Matress was uncomfortable. 1.50 eur for coffee is very high. No option for hot water. Location is great. And it is cheap.
No hassle i was in bed in no time.

Shower- room was very small, and towels are not included. Receptionists only spoke french, luckily I do a bit too. Otherwice friendly staff. Breakfast was only sweet things, sweet cereals, croissant etc. Couldn't eat too much of that.
Affordable price, is option for breakfast. Room was rather spacious. Friendly village Chambly.

We arrived quite late and parking seemed busy, though we still found a space. We were two women travelling alone, so arriving late at night felt a bit uncomfortable as most other occupants seemed to be male drivers, but that comes with the location and type of accommodation I suppose.
This was what we expected and paid for. A budget accommodation by the road, so we could have a good sleep to break a long journey. The room was clean and had a good shower in our en-suit bathroom. Quite spacious room and bathroom. Check in through automatic machine outside was easy and very handy as we arrived quite late.

In overall a bit more basic than I was hoping for. Breakfast lacks savoury option. Rolls and croissants were fresh and tasty but only sweet options were available like jams and chocolate spreads to go with them.
Very helpful and kind staff. Quiet location. Clean and comfortable. Walking distance to the train station. Easy to get to the centre of Paris. Good and available car park. Reception opened longer than it said on the website - which was great because I was worried to get there after 9pm and self serve to get the room cards etc. The lady was still there when we came and she was very helpful and spoke good English.

Not much to say. It fitted the expectations for a low-fee room booking, with shared bathroom and shared toilet.
Booked for a weeding at the castle nearby. Perfect for a one-night stay. Well-located in that regard. It was not expensive for this kind of service. Coffee machine and some breakfast service for a small fee. Overall clean.

Big 14. July party until 4:00AM right in front of the hotel with very loud music. It’s not the hotel’s fault but it was not nice.

There were cockroaches on the wall and the toilets and shower were shared for the whole hotel and were extremely dirty and unsanitary. Even the sign on the toilet door saying it was cleaned regularly had mould on it...

Staff on phone not very amable. Key didn’t work second night. Had to call a few times before getting an answer. Neon light not replaced. Heater dirty. Expensive for what’s on offer

View from room backed into car park, could hear cars and people outside, air con would have been great!

It is a bit run down. There is evidence of recent-ish refurbishment, but it is already run down since. door handles and safety locks missing, facilities scary-ish, our room was missing a pillow and blanket for the second bed and no one works there in the evening... tbh I am not even sure how to get in after hours, thankfully someone opened the door. i was forced to wander around looking for linens... only one electric plug in the room... overall, sadness. breakfast not included.
it exists and honours reservations, no frills-no fuss. microwave in the hallway. parking. location not too bad. cheap. 40 eur or 42 for two, is actually their rack rate.

Lack of any working electric sockets in the room. I only found one socket but it was partially covered by the mirror.
