I booked 7 rooms for 4 nights. Frankly a great hotel with a big room and comfortable bed, iron and ironing board in the room. The restaurant was quite correct and the staff all over was great too. A fine, closed parking too. Will absolutely come back if the prices do not qo crazy for next time!

FranceCheck in reception, the receptionist had a slovenly demeanour and forced us to wait > 10 minutes whilst she chatted socially to a colleague on the phone before we could check in. At check in, we were charged a 100 euro deposit for 2 rooms which was in addition to the room rate already pre paid on booking.com This amount was taking off the card within minutes, only to be returned at some future date. The showers in both rooms sprayed all over the bathroom floors- poor design and layout. 3 tissues in a box and a roll and a half of toilet paper in each room. Dinner was overpriced, the macaroni cheese at 18 euros, rubbish , the table service was virtually nonexistent. At breakfast, no bananas, no weetabix, no brown bread worth eating.

PortugalThere was a huge confusion with my trip payment, where I at some point had 4 held transactions, 1 payment, and my other credit card blocked because they'd tried to change me a random amount in the middle of my first night and then continued trying to charge me on the second card. The girl at checkout was kind and apologetic but the manager who communicated with me via email had a huge lack of professionalism and customer service skills. Very disappointing for a Marriott branded hotel.
