Very good location at walking distance to the beach and to many good restaurants of Sables d'Olonne. Friendly staff. Good for value breakfast. Possibility to get a parking spot for 15€ a day, which seems like a good deal to us.

Our bathroom was a bit worn out but at least it was clean and everything was working fine. Beware if you have a room with port view as this side is also the busiest and can be very noisy at night.

The room. The location. The lovely man at the desk, who spoke English and tried to teach me some French. Good price

    Nil to dislike

We did not stay in the hotel at all (see below)

We arrived and were told there was no place to store our bicycles. The receptionist was very rude and told us that the bikes would have to be left out on the street overnight. When he insulted us by to comparing our situation to that of 'animals' we left and stayed in another nearby hotel. There was no offer of any refund from Hotel Sables. This was our first experience of any hotel being unable to store our 2 bicycles on our 11 days cycling the Velodysee and we were extremely disappointed with the lack of empathy or any offer of a refund.

This is a fantastic location overlooking the harbour. There are lots of restaurants and bars in walking distance. It is only less than 10 minutes walk to the magnificent beach of Sable d'olonne where you can walk for miles. As the room is over a restaurant and in the heart of the eating area, it is a bit noisy for a while if your window is open. However, this is the only negative thing I would have to say. Very friendly and helpful staff and a nice breakfast.

Older hotel but well worth the price. We had a lovely short stay and would book it again for sure. Thank you.

Lovely staff. Very welcoming. Hotel right near main sights. Loads of restaurants nearby, hard to choose from.

Up and down a few stairs for breakfast and to access lift.

We have stayed here several times before, love the location. We like a room with a view of the port, also this seemed to be a larger room which was lovely. Staff are very helpful. Hotel is amongst the restaurants on the port which is great. Parking in the town can be difficult but luckily we know where to park. We will definitely stay here again.

Location perfect as we wanted to be at the harbour beside restaurants. Parking was handy in local underground car park as it is a difficult area to find parking in. Classic French breakfast in small breakfast room at rear of property was €8 each. We ate at their restaurant and it was excellent! Busy place but staff superb. Great value for our one night stay in a great location.

I would book a room not beside the lift next time. Not a major problem.
