Perfect place, this was our 17th stay at the hotel over 30 years!

I wish that I had known that the resaurant was closed on Sunday and Monday.

    Great location, clean, well maintained.

Access - egress, when wanting to leave early in the morning it was hard to get out.

Nice place in quiet village, close to romantic ruins of old abbey, good starting point for Soissons, Reims, Compiegny. In the evening splendid French food available from hotel restaurant.

Very charming location in a quaint French village. Staff were very pleasant and accommodating. The food was lovely, the hotel is in general very well kept.

    Nothing.

Lovely village. The hotel will be amazing when it’s completed. Full of history and features.

There is shabby chic and there is downright tatty. Unfortunately my room was the latter

Atmospheric and the perfect location. Happy to change my room for one with a BATH when requested.

The ‘table’ at the Terrace about 200 yards away was more attractive IMHO.

This is a lovely old auberge very recently in new ownership and with considerable character both in its setting close to a ruined abbey in a small historic village and its internal ambience with tiled floors and large open fire place. We have stayed here two years ago also in December. With the very charming new young owner there are very comfortable new beds and bathrooms and good traditional food with a simple menu.

It’s location and it’s slightly “old fashioned “ style

The hotel has recently changed hands so is undergoing extensive renovations

The bed was comfortable and the sheets were clean. Parking outside was easy.

Hard to see how to get in to the hotel. No one to greet us. Small room. Very scruffy. Chipped paint. Marked walls. Hooks loose on the wall. No curtains. “Seating space” was a chair in the corner. Restaurant floor had chipped dirty tiles and chipped scuffed walls, floors not clean, bread on the floor. Lots of flies, two ended up in my soup, we spent the whole meal trying to stop them landing but they landed in the bread and my main meal.

Longpont is picture-book perfect and the hotel is the social hub of this beautiful little village. The host is attentive and friendly. Dinner was excellent and there is a fixed price menu option. Our room was small but perfect, and the bathroom had been upgraded since our last visit. The hotel is peaceful and at night you are assured of a great sleep!

Since we last stayed here, the cheese course options at dinner have sadly reduced (but maybe we were spoiled previously!) and the breakfast choice is also more limited (no fromage blanc which we had been looking forward to). Maybe this is because we were off season and the hotel was not that busy? We will just have to return in the summer to see ;o)
