How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Rooms not well kept an full of mould. Mould smell is strong in bathroom and vissible several places. Rom was to small for 2p. Things was falling down from the walls during our stay.

The bathroom and kitchenette portion of the unit were very dingy, damaged, and not really usable. The unit needs some serious updates and cleaning. The toilet smelled really bad and there were a lot of bugs in the unit.

Verified reviewThe Breakfast was excellent, and the staff were so helpful and polite. The Manager (Man) who I can't remember his name was a real credit to the running of this hotel. The Hotel is a great location for visiting the D-Day landing sites, and the Bayeux tapestry. I would recommend this Hotel to any visitors what to stay in this area. I found to people in this town so polite and welcoming.

Verified reviewStaff exceeded expectation with one moving her car so we could park in the car park when we arrived.They were friendly and professional. Food was good but breakfast wasn’t value for money when you could visit the local patisserie for a fraction of the price. Beds were clean and comfortable, but needed a headboard.
We were given an upgrade to have a sea view but this felt more like a downgrade with a ferris wheel opposite and music playing until midnight. Shower leaked all over the floor. They tried to sort the issue and it didn’t leak as much. They did say they could move us rooms but the hotel was full. Rooms are small and tired. Broken kettle and coat hangers in one room. No wardrobe or drawers in the other.

Verified reviewLocation is right in the heart of it all. Good continental breakfast was included with our room. The apartment that we booked was spacious. Love the old school key system and open air breeze from the sea that came through the windows.
Noise from the sea birds! However the hotel provides ear plugs so once we popped those in, all good. It's a pretty busy area (July) and we had to park our vehicle several blocks away which was a bit of a pain.

Because the hotel is very near the seafront, there was some noise from occasional traffic and late night passers-by outside/below our bedroom window; but fairly minor and didn't seriously disrupt our sleep 😴.....

Very bad experience, booked a stay for two nights and on the second night we arrived late after dining out and the code we had been given to entry after hours was wrong! the emergency phone number nobody picked up the call and actually somebody was always disconecting the call on the other end. The food at the restaurant very bad. Nobody speaks another language other than french.
