How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Great location, super quiet, friendly and helpful staff. Family room with fold out bunks was brilliant. Best family room I have ever stayed in.

Very cute hotel, clean and spacious room. Nice decorations and most importantly the staff is very helpful and nice. Would definitely come back again when visiting Lyon.

We liked everything
The property had been renovated and was lovely and fresh. Lovely decor , comfortable bed ! Isabelle and Gilles were amazing hosts! They went above and beyond. Gilles spent time mapping out a walking tour whilst explaining some history to us , as well as restaurant recommendations! Lovely atmosphere Highly recommend

Construction out front of the property.
Unique and beautiful lobby with kind staff. Air conditioning and bunk beds were a hit for our family.

The design was interesting in a very sophisticated way with the art and little books—always something interesting to engage in every space. Colors were restful and sleep was easy. Was greeted on a warm day with chilled water. Everybody was very nice.

Stairs up from the street and no one to help us with luggage.

The design of the hotel is beautiful, treats for the eyes everywhere. The room was lovely, good size,lovely bathroom, and really comfy bed. Staff were lovely and really helpful. Breakfast was delicious, and lots of healthy choices

The hotel is a bit far from the city center. We didn't mind the walk but the days we were visiting was a very hot. We were surprised that the person that checked us IN didn't asked for our any of our identification and just hand in the keys . No orientation was provided to us about the hotel and was quick to dismiss us. Our room was located on the 2nd floor but was told to get off on the 3rd floor and climb down a full flight of stairs. We don't mind climbing the steps but not with heavy luggage(s) in hand. The bed is huge but not the most comfortable one.
The hotel was clean and well maintained . The room was spacious and so is the bathroom. Price for our stay was great.

Abandoned buildings around and parking is torture if your car is larger than citroen Deux chevaux.
People were very supportive, gave us some good advice how to be in the city. Nice design, we felt like in kind of artistic place. The hotel has made a list of their favorite restaurants, shops, art places - a helpful guide for the ones who are new in the city.

Slightly noisy in the morning from outside, perhaps due to construction across the street. This won't prevent me from staying here again when I return to Lyon
A beautifully decorated hotel in a charismatic old building. Rooms are large, complete and comfortable. A good selection of coffee/tea in the rooms, great beds and perfect showers. The staff is friendly and helpful. Not just out of duty but genuinely willing to take another step to help. Great!

What a gem of a hotel. Was a little worried about the area close to the train station but it was actually rather good. Plenty of neighborhood restaurants, cafes and a couple of wine bars. Close to plenty of public transport. This hotel was completely renovated about 4 years ago and they didn't skimp, everything finished to a high standard that has stood the test of time. Bed comfortable, shower great, ac to cool the room down at night. A great stay, would highly recommend for anyone going to Lyon.
