This was a lovely place to stay. Fiona and her family could not have been more welcoming. The room was great, so comfortable and spotless. I had the evening meal and breakfast and really enjoyed both.

Having to leave.

WOW! A truly relaxing and fantastic stay with the most amazing hosts. Fiona and Lionel are true gems and really make you feel part of the family. The location is remote and peaceful but easy to get around the Dordogne and the pool and tranquil gardens are amazing (as are the donkey’s). Nothing but great advice on things to do and places to go as well as local restaurants but having dinner at the venue as well was truly fantastic as Lionel is a wonderful chef. Would not hesitate to recommend or return!

The conversion of the huge barn into accommodation meant that our room was in the roof and only had two very, very small windows with no view.

The house is a beautiful, renovated set of farmhouses and buildings, with a spa and outdoor swimming pool. Everything was top quality with special touches, such as being able to order a homemade picnic in a wicker basket, buy local wine and order drinks and nibbles. We enjoyed a fabulous 4 course, home-cooked dinner with veg from the garden.Our hosts were lovely, as we're their two young children. We swam until late, which was wonderful. The house was in the countryside but easy access. It was very relaxing and quiet.

I can't really think of anything.

The family is very friendly and very helpful in event planning. They offer a very nice breakfast and excellent dinner if your schedule allows. I suggest the dinner, as there are not a lot of restaurants nearby and the food is excellent. It is a very relaxing setting with lots of attractions nearby.

Beautiful setting and very welcoming owners that speak several languages. In addition to breakfast that can serve a wonderful dinner which we did one evening. Very relaxing place in the countryside with sufficient shopping and other amenities a short drive away.

One of the best places we have stayed in. We felt so welcome and our children enjoyed every minute, the pool was amazing and the temperature was perfect. The food was Great and we were so pleased to have stayed. We will definitely be back to stay again for much longer as it was so tranquil and we could relax. The high ceilings in the room and spacious en-suite bathroom. The warm welcome from the owners. The outdoor space around the house with a pool and chickens and gardens, were so enjoyable. The evening meal and breakfasts were a delight.

Everything it is a beautiful home in a beautiful setting. The owners Fiona & Lionel are a wonderful couple so genuine everting they do is done with love. We celebrated our wedding anniversary there and they did us a lovely picnic basket with wine all at a reasonable price, they set up a most beautiful area by their pond it was truly amazing. We ate with them every night of our stay the food is amazing and all homemade as was the breakfast they certainly do not let you go hungry food is in abundance. The pool area is tranquil and very clean, Lionel is always doing something in his garden or tending his many animals, as for Fiona she is the same but with her visitors always making sure they have everything they need. Nothing and I truly mean nothing is too much trouble for them they certainly go above and beyond. We will definitely be returning thank you Fiona and Lionel for the most wonderful and unforgettable time especially all you did to make our anniversary so special we will never forget it.

Everything was great!

Demeure du Vallon is a charming place to stay! Fiona and Lionel have done an amazing job with the property. We wished our stay was longer to enjoy everything the property has to offer! We definitely recommend this property and will look forward to returning!. It is a great place to organize a group trip or family reunion! The bed was very comfortable, spacious room and bathroom. Yummy french breakfast with locally grown products!
