The property is completely beautiful. Every aspect of the buildings, grounds, pool, and interior design is esthetically coordinated and calm and peaceful. The buildings are set apart, so privacy is guaranteed.

The hosts are very amenable. The grounds of the Domaine are beautiful with mature fir, yew and olive trees. The breakfast was well presented with fresh fruit, cheese, yoghurts and croissant as well as gluten-free bread for my wife. We had a nice swim in the pool after our long drive. The room was cool and we didn’t need the air conditioning on the hottest day of the year so far.

A delightful historic 18th century manor house with beautifully decorated suites. Laurence is an exceptional host who goes out of her way to welcome her guests and provide information about sites and restaurants in the area of Cahors.

the room (chambre prune) was unfortunately somewhat cold and moist in early June. We had to ask for extra blankets, and a small electric heater for the bathroom. The sunbeds in the garden are not any longer particularly comfortable.

Delicious breakfast with high quality food served at the terrasse. Very attentive hosts. We enjoyed the well-maintained park and even prepared a meal in the well-equipped outdoor 'summer kitchen' with a good bottle of red wine from the owner

The garden was beautifully maintained and charming. The ancient buildings were sympathetically converted. We would definitely return and recommend this property. Our room had everything we needed. Breakfast was good.

There is nothing there to dislike.

Where does one begin? The owners, Laurence and Guillaume are a fantastic couple, really lovely, friendly people, who have created this amazing estate. The extent of the grounds is much more than what one sees in the photos. It is so peaceful, quiet and serene. There are so many different sections one can choose to relax in; the pool side, the rose garden, the summer kitchen, meadows, orchard… we stayed in La Garenne gîte, and it was perfect. Our cycles were left out on the terrace of the gîte, which is spacious with a huge parasol, a table and chairs. We had breakfast by the pool three times, and it was such a delightful way to start the day. Three sisters who turn up to look after the rooms, and help with breakfast are all charming young ladies. There is an Intermarché just around the corner, and a brilliant boulangerie in Mércuès just two minutes’ drive away. The location was perfect for cycling. Endless choice of wonderful rides, along or away from the Lot. My favourite ride was to Les Arques, via La Mouline. The scenery is stunningly beautiful, and there is a beautiful tea room there, also a museum showing the works of Ossip Zadki e, who lived there for 30 years. There is also the restaurant La Récréation, reservation essential, which was v good, but the food was a tad too rich for our tastes. Guillaume’s family is in the wine business, he makes his own label, and has connections with the most prestigious Cahors red, the Cahteau Cayx. I bought half a case of Le Majesté, 2014, which is sleeping in a cool place, having a rest after our long drive back, and very much looking forward to sampling a traditional “black Cahors”. Overall, a fantastic place to stay.

Fantastic property including lovely gardens and a swimming pool, breakfasts were lovely and served in the lounge or by the pool when the weather allows. We were really well looked after in terms of ensuring we had everything we needed, any local suggestions on what to do / where to visit as well as dinner reservations - Laurence was a wonderful hostess.

We didn't have a TV in our room, the only reason we noticed this was because it was the rugby World Cup.

Lovely location, close to Cahors. Comfortable, host very welcoming and helpful. Excellent breakfast, with fresh local products and lots of choice. Room was a good size and was nice to have a separate salon for guests to use and meet friends in. Good size swimming pool, with great outside space, gardens and use of an outside kitchen area.

Beautiful location and very tastefully decorated room. Lovely dinner and breakfast served on the terrace. Not only was our comfort prioritised but our dogs comfort was equally important with super dog walks on the property. Would highly recommend.

The place was extraordinary. A beautiful house with comfy rooms, great beds, electric shutters for the windows to make sure no light enters your room, amazing breakfast, beautiful garden and friendly hosts. What else do you want?

We booked this hotel as a honeymoon present for our sister - she said the hotel was perfection. Owners had thought of absolutely everything and for that reason the stay was flawless. Great facilities, lovely pool, brilliant food. Definite must stay.

We stayed 4 nights and enjoyed our stay a lot .The hosts Laurence & Guillaume were very friendly and made their best to make us fell happy and comfortable. Tranquil atmosphere , excellent location,very good breakfast with fresh local products, charming, clean and spacious room, really enjoyed our stay, highly recommended

Our stay could have been a little longer and the weather a little better, otherwise we have no complaints whatsoever.

Everything about Domaine de Labarthe was spectacular! Our hosts and their staff, our room, the romance 🥰, the gardens, the pool (which we didn’t get to use this time around as the weather didn’t cooperate), the wonderful continental breakfast with home-made jams…we couldn’t have wished for a more perfect stay. The countryside around Cahors is absolutely beautiful, and our hosts offered great advice with villages and restaurants to visit, which we did and had a wonderful time. This stop in the Lot Valley is unmissable - can’t recommend highly enough! We will be regular guests!
