Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe host cooked us a delicious dinner served in a wood panelled Salon Angalise (Drawing room). The very friendly chickens and goats. The peace and quiet along with proximity to Roscoff.

United KingdomVery helpful host who put our bought overflow of fresh food in his spare fridge in the garage. Breakfast and dinner was excellent. I knew we were in the right place when I saw the eddy Merckx poster on the wall. :)

United KingdomOur host. Simon, was very helpful and attentive from before we had even arrived and then throughout our stay - his patience with us trying to converse in French was very much appreciated and added to our experience during the visit. We enjoyed being able to 'drink and eat' in the evening with only a short walk up the stairs to bed after same!

United KingdomSimon was so accommodating and the property beautifully peaceful. Our first night in France, after arriving at Roscoff, was perfect for staying at L’Echappee. We had two rooms, which were both immaculate and comfortable. Breakfast was amazing and plentiful, with home made pancakes and bread, as well as local produce, including honey and jams. We couldn’t recommend this property more - thank you!

United KingdomWe liked everything about our stay. One possible way of making it even better, and this is a very small thing: tea and coffee making facilities in the actual bedroom. However this is very minor since tea and coffee were available in the dining room.
The location was peaceful and the actual house and garden delightful. Simon was a really welcoming and friendly host whose culinary skills were impressive. Indeed, you couldn’t have asked for better. The room we stayed in was spacious, spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated, with a really comfortable bed, excellent linen, and there was plenty of hot water for the shower. We slept so well for the duration of our stay. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of variety in terms of food on offer. I really recommend the home made bread, yoghurt and the rice pudding! The evening dinner was also excellent and very good value for money. The food was plentiful, really tasty and home made using local and seasonal products. In short, we had a fabulous stay and would definitely look to book again. We recommend this place highly!

United KingdomThe location was very good for access to Britanny Ferries in Roscoff- our prime reason for staying- but the location itself was a very pretty "hamlet". A small business with very personal attention- and excellent cuisine. Real France!

United KingdomWould have nice to have had tea/coffee facilities in the room, although these were available in the dining room.
Good peaceful location, nice sunny room. We took the option to have a home cooked 3 course evening meal and wine at the property. Meal and wine were very good after a long day. As it was a lovely sunny evening we took this on the patio to the rear of the property. Good selection of produce for breakfast and very amiable host with excellent English.

Very helpful stay just coming off the ferry at Roscoff. Offered evening meal but I had eaten on the boat. Large house in edge of village setting with good descrption from owners how to find. Great room with huge bathroom ensuite. Spotlessly clean. Strong cycling theme through the house. Large garden to sit out in. Breakfasted on home made bread and jam and crepes.

AustriaEverything was perfect! Only a little hint: The driveway wasn't too easy to find with navigation, better keep an eye out for the l'echappee sign.
Merci bien for our really nice and relaxing overnight stay in the nature near Morlaix. Simon and his wife are very engaged hosts who try to make your stay really fantastic with all those lovely details in their renovated farm house. Our room was just amazingly big and clean. Behind the house there's a beautiful garden and a lot of nature around. Breakfast was plentiful. Parking space directly in front of the house. We'll definitely come back if we are around again in Bretagne.

United StatesNone - excellent spot.
A beautiful house with a charming garden area. Our room was very comfortable and cosy, and the bathroom was huge. Simon and Marianne are lovely hosts (Marianne even fixed our bikes brakes for us!) and took great care of us - from drinks in the garden in the evening, to the excellent breakfast in the morning. We were soaked from riding in the rain, and they let us use their washer / dryer to dry out our clothes too. Strongly recommend this spot to anybody biking the trails - we were able to store our bikes in their covered garage - very convenient.

United KingdomThe only thing I can put here is the pillows for us, were not supportive enough, but that is a very personal thing and very difficult for the owners to keep every sleeper happy 😀
Perfect quiet location. We always look for remote locations as we always seem to have a fully loaded car with bikes etc so security is always high on the list. This house is just out of town but close enough to go back in if needed. They also offered a dinner option which I can highly recommend after travelling all day. A beautiful house, well decorated and spotlessly clean. The hosts were very keen to ensure everything was ok. They also spoke very good English, which was far less painful than us trying to speak French. Would definitely recommend this property.
