How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

What a refreshingly honestly-described and thoroughly charming place to stay in central Lyon. Hosts extremely attentive and professional. They provided a covered garage for our two ebikes, and free battery charging. The rooms in this old bourgeois family house are quirky and creatively decorated - with a wonderful, simple charm. The beds were confortable and the shower great ! The location is very quiet despite being just a few minutes walk from the main Lyon train station (Part Dieu). After a few ‘mixed’ experiences this last week with ‘chambres d'hôte’ and country hotels - it was a joy to discover this place.

The room was really hot, and had a really noisy old ac with a pipe you place out of the open window.
We got a very warm welcome and liked our room. The bed was comfy and we got a good nights sleep. The breakfast is simple but good.

It is ground floor accommodation and I wasn’t comfortable leaving the window open all night to enable the portable aircon unit to function.
Quirky. The guy running the Airbnb was friendly and helpful

Difficult to find even by taxi. Round bed looked cute but was soft and we missed a headboard. Lock system complicated.
Breakfast excellent but no decaf coffee available for my husband. Room creatively decorated.

There wasn’t a lot of storage space for clothes.
The room was individually furnished without being too over the top. The breakfast was traditionally French with fresh bread and jams. The location was near the station and a metro.

There is lots of roadworks in the area (May 2025) which makes the location difficult to access.

Difficult to contact the property owner. Have to wait in front of the building for quite some time. With luck! The cleaner happened to appear in front of the building!

The confort of the bed was not as great. Mattress was sinking and the pillow way too low not fluffy and no other option in the room
The house and rooms are really cute. The concept is friendly.

Front gate on arrival not very welcoming- once you had the code it worked fine. Circular bed not practical or very comfortable- no bed head or phone charging nearby (on reflection bad choice of room)
Very friendly staff, great breakfast, small homely atmosphere. Lyon is a great city, well worth a few days visit

Perfect for a short stay! But not enough storage for clothing and suitcase for a longer stay.
Clear communication before arrival and a warm welcome when we arrived at the hotel. The room was perfect for our overnight stay before continuing our journey. We were able to park our car inside the gate and walk to the metro to reach the old city center for dinner. Breakfast, included in our stay, was enjoyed on the porch. Due to the building's age, AC is not available in the rooms. While alternative options are provided, we chose to keep the window open at night to cool down the room.

There was an AC but really old so it didn't really give any cold air. But the fan made up for it.
I liked the design and that it was spacious. We were greeted friendly and had all we needed with the breakfast. Recommended.
