Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomGiven the number of rooms, there are not enough sun beds around the pool (only 6). This meant that during our 5 day stay we were never able to spend time at the pool. The accommodation is expensive for what it is, the decor is dated and some of the furniture is very old and stained (ie the sofa).
Loix is a beautiful little village, and this hotel is well situated to explore the village as well as the island.

United KingdomEveryone will have their own particular preferences but there was nothing we didn't like.
We know Ile de Re well so choose Loix because it's a quiet village, away from the crowds. Although unassuming from the outside, the hotel is of a high standard offering a combination of rooms, studios and apartments so there is something for everyone. Our apartment was of a high standard and perfect for two people. The staff were also very helpful and welcoming. Despite being in August, it was very quiet, especially at night which was great. The free parking nearby was also helpful. There are plenty of supplies you can buy in the village - daily market with local produce, small supermarket, bakery, etc

United KingdomThe room was very hot and the bed was far too hard, we felt quite stifled with the lack of airflow. There was also little room to move around the bed. the pool was too cold to get into, even in July. That being said the pool area was lovely to sit around and was very quiet.
A nice stroll into Loix town centre, the bike hire was easily accessed and a reasonable cost for the day with great condition bikes. The bathroom was a good size with a decent powered shower.

NetherlandsThe pool was a bit small for the facility and not enough sun beds. But... who needs a pool on Ile de Re anyway. Go to the beaches instead :-)
Nicely decorated and seems relatively new facility in the annex building. Has all the facilities you need for a nice stay. Loix is a quieter town than the other towns and cities on Ile de Re but has a nice little market with all facilities and good food and nice vibe. We liked Loix as a central base to bike to all other places. We stayed in peak season. Owners and staff very friendly and supportive. Good bikes for rent at facilities. We travelled with 1 kid.

FranceWe were put in annex building which has been not specified in the booking. Parking is some 300 meters away. Not easy with luggage and self catering. Location- some 500 meters from city center and at least 1 km to the beach. The instructions all over the place what you are allowed /not allowed otherwise you will be charged.
Though beside busy road peaceful location. Clean little studio for up to three persons. With three would be really crowded. Salt, pepper and cleaning material.

United Arab Emirates1. The absence of curtains in the bedroom is a notable concern, as it allows for direct visibility from the reception area. The net curtain, which only covers half the window, necessitated the use of a bath towel for additional privacy. 2. Being expected to take out the bins from the bathroom and kitchen or being charged 50 Euros is ridiculous; I do not come on holiday to clean and empty bins. Whilst I understand you do not want to be faced with dishes to do or the guest will pay 50 Euros - empty bins is a bridge too far! 3. The rooms are very small, and the pool and surrounding area are beyond small. Only about six guests could fit cramped together around the pool. 4. Outside our room was a huge seating area, which was not used as a bar or dining area, although this was its intended purpose - this would have been very intrusive to our room if the facilities had been used during our stay. 5. The continental breakfast option in the hotel was very expensive per person, so we opted to eat out.
The location is good and the interior decor is nice.

United KingdomSwimming pool is open only during reception hours. Which is tricky to explain to a child who is desperate to go for a swim.
We stayed in a spacious family room with a fully equipped kitchen and a garden. Loix is lovely and quiet. There is supermarket round the corner and a farmers market too (open all mornings during summer holidays) as well as a bakery. Swimming pool is great! From Loix it's easy to cycle to any other towns. There are two cycle hires in Loix.
