How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

We booked for passing by this city for one night. Hoping to relax and have a good sleep before next day ride. We would not complain about the room -drought it was old and needed some freshness. But we would complain about the night - at ca 01.00 in the night come random people from next room stated to walk around the corridor, shouting, yelling and making a noise. We tried to sleep but it was not possible. Till 05.00 in the morning we still were not able to have any quiet hours. They just run at corridor, slammed the doors edc. Until we went ourselves behind their door to ask them to stop this whatever they were doing there at night. After that we had few hours of sleep. Morning - we read the manual of the room - if there is anything that you are complaining we appreciate always if you come to us at first. So we went to the administrator task about this issue. Answer was that ok, thanks for the information. Instead of offering us some discount - whatever, from room price, parking or breakfast. Nothing. So there we were, 2 hours with sleep left with negative feedback :)

Verified reviewEvery staff member was exceptional; professional, helpful, thoughtful, fun. and multilingual. These qualities were especially important to me as I stayed 8 nights to be near my very ill husband in hospital, one handy tram stop away. Quiet room. The breakfast is very good - choices, freshness, protein, croissants etc.. One of the best in my long experience of hotel stays. They don't have a typical dinner option but they offer excellent pizza and other quick to heat gourmet dishes, desserts etc.The price is very good for all these offerings. Free Parking very close by.
The bed is really a bit hard. I did suggest making the shower (over the bath) safer to get in and out of. The staff and owner were receptive to these ideas and we did some good workarounds. It would be so nice to have even one anglophone TV channel.

Verified reviewThe staff was extremely friendly, prone to help. The rooms were clean, bed was comfortable. The room was oriented to the back-yard, thus pretty quiet. The hotel offers typical French small breakfast as well as rich breakfast I normally need. The dining room was newly renovated in style a terrace. The place was very close to the Montpellier University, thus for me location was perfect. The tram stop was very close.
The surrounding of the hotel looks bit wild with lot of cars parking and untreated bushes and trees. May be bit far for somebody who would like to explore the downtown.

On the other hand, we do not understand your remark regarding exploring the city center because it is located 10-15 minutes by tram or 20-30 minutes on foot. Concerning the number of cars, understand that our establishment is located between hospitals, universities and student residences so yes there are a lot of cars.

Room was a bit cold - took all day to warm up with heating on. Bit noisy in downstairs room hearing people going up and down stairs.

Regarding the heating, all you had to do was come see reception and we would turn up the heating so you wouldn't be cold. We are sorry about the room but it was our last one on the ground floor at the time of your arrival. If you had mentioned this earlier in your reservation we could have accommodated it.
