It was all great

One of the most beautiful places I’ve stayed. We loved the peaceful and serene surrounding and sitting enjoying the views of the mountains surrounding the house. Gaelle was very helpful and cooked us a wonderful three course dinner. The room was quiet and the bathroom spotless. Wouldn’t hesitate to come back and will miss waking up in the mountains.

if anything at all, it's a bit tricky to get there

Beautiful location, perfect view and very calm. The host is an absolute gem. Rooms are spacious as well as garden and terrace. Everything nice an clean. Breakfast was spot on, homemade jam delicious. Evening menu is three courses that can be booked for each day separately. High qualit food for moderate prices. Perfect spot for hiking as well as trips to sea alps or the more busy and crowded areas of the canyon. All in all clear recommendation.

The access road to the property was a little steep

Everything was great.

This property is a true mountain hideout! Very authentic home with gorgeous views of the surrounding landscape. Property has a kitchen for common use, which might be handy if staying longer. The wonderful owner Gaelle also provides a delicious dining experience, which I would like to recommend. Closest towns are about a 30 minute drive away.

The way up was a bit curvy and steep, but it was very beautiful and it was worth it.

The host was very kind and welcoming and made an excelent dinner. The house was in a beautiful location and rooms were very decorated and clean and had a beautiful view. The beds were comfortable.

Be aware of the location: As it is in the mountains you have a ~15min drive on a narrow road from the main road to the small village!

The location: Very quiet, in the mountains, super peaceful and what a view! The host: Feels like a family stay. The place: You are staying like a family member! The food: Freshly cooked by the host, just for the guests. Amazing!

Nothing really. Just know that you will be away from everything, 30 minutes by car from the nearest village. For us it was a plus but something to consider.

The location is simply amazing!!! Immersed in nature, with wonderful views over the surrounding mountains. Perfect place to relax and forget about everything. Gaelle is also a great host. We really enjoyed our breakfast in the garden admiring the view.

Gaïa guest house is surrounded by a cirque of mountains, views are stunning and stars are highly visible at night. It is located in the heart of this pretty village clinging to a rocky outcrop, facing the mountains, the view is enchanting and the calm is absolute!

What a perfect position this house is in with spectacular views. Our two days with Gaelle were a delight and she is such a welcoming host. We hadn’t planned to eat with her on our second night but her cooking is so good that we did.

The drive is worth it for the serenity of the location. However everything is a fair distance/drive away from the property.

In a gorgeous location, in the middle of the mountains. Lovely stay with a delicious home cooked meal on arrival. Gaelle kindly made our dinner gluten free as we were the only diners that evening.

Beautiful quiet location. Views unsurpassable. We really enjoyed our restful time at this lovely place . Gaelle was very welcoming and friendly and prepared great evening meals for us . Being Australian and unused to narrow winding roads the road up was a bit challenging however we could not have expected more from the Maison itself . The views, the quietness, the wonderful walks and the very comfortable accommodation was excellent

Make sure you bring some snacks/food (for hiking/cycling) BEFORE you arrive as the nearest shop is about a 20 mins drive away.

Beautiful scenery, overlooking the mountains, the quietness, the space, starts at night and trees starting to color as its the start of autumn. Lots of good hiking around such as le chiran. Very friendly and accomodating host. Recommend the dinner and breakfast Gaia offers, as it's nice to meet your fellow guests and it's very far to the nearest village/restaurant.
