The composting toilet is something I’m not used to, but it is subjective Definitely there’s a need of having automatic lights at night

Other reviewers who were critical, so undeserved, it was perfect in every way.

We've been on a long journey throughout the Balkans and Europe and this was one of the nicest places we've stayed. We loved the eco qualities and peaceful spirit of the place. Saint Quentin was a jewel we didn't expect. As we were both Vegan we told Arielle not to worry about breakfast but she messaged us to say she'd left something early on the doorstep, so beautiful and thoughtful, a real treat.

Wonderful, quirky accommodation! Perfect for the last night of our month long road trip around Europe. Aurelie was the perfect host - good communication throughout and even phoned our takeaway pizza order through for us and arranged delivery! Lovely to sit in the evening sun, in the very peaceful garden, enjoying our last night ☺️

The non flushing ( sawdust ) toilet and shower without a screen or curtain. We felt this should be mentioned up front in the description . It is a small shower within a curved roof and difficult to shower properly and keep the room dry. We would nt have stayed if we had known about the toilet although otherwise the stay was very good.

Lovely host and very helpful. Quirky wooden caravan type gites close enough to the motorway but very peaceful bordering on the countryside . Beautiful fresh juice, milk, croissants, bread and home made jam brought to the door for breakfast.

We had directions and a telephone contact had we needed it but we didn't find it immediately. Dallon is a pretty hamlet on the outskirts of St Quentin and on arrival at St Quentin the instructions and the sign posts didn't match. But we got there and found our way in and out of St Quentin to find a place to eat that evening and found our way back to the A26 next day without difficulty.

Parking was easy, private and safe, next to the gate that led to the gite de la Roulotte. Aurelie had been very helpful keeping in touch and letting us know how to access the key and when we would receive our breakfast. Our accommodation was beautiful, compact, well equipped and in a lovely setting, surrounded by a large well tended garden and overlooking agricultural fields on the one side.l Our breakfast was delicious.

Loved the space. Very clean. Dog friendly. Breakfast was very nice and had homemade jam. Little garden, however we only got there in the dark and only for one night. Will definitely go back when in the area. Would love a chance to explore around there as well. There was no WiFi, perfect!
