The warm welcome and the friendliness of Sylvie. The lodge was very well equiped. We took our meals in the lovely garden.

It’s a fully equipped and beautiful cottage, surrounded by a glorious garden, and literally around the corner from the Chinon castle, as well as the town centre, also accessible by a nearby lift if needed. Sylvie the host is really lovely, and everything was straight forward, helpful, and clear. Highly recommend this place, and if you’re lucky you’ll make a new friend with the garden cat :) no faults at all, she even left us coffee for the morning after our arrival, and a bottle of local wine. Thank you!

Lovely self standing studio apartment in the backyard of the owner house. Easy parking just outside the property. Locked gate to the property provided privacy and security. Owner was welcoming and available. Studio was well appointed and well decorated. Lots of information was provided on area attractions. Two lovely outdoor areas were available to us. No cleaning fee. Well located - steps from the castle and elevator into town.

Kitchen was quite small. Ok for fixing breakfast and easy meals but might be hard to cook a fancy meal. Guest were expected to clean the place before departure or leave a clean fee in cash. Not a big deal as we were in no rush during checkout day.

The appointment was beautiful, the surroundings were beautiful, and our host was wonderful. We would definitely stay there again.

This is a beautiful property that combines peace and privacy with great access to the fortress and to restaurants, local wineries and shops.

With just a 2 night stay we did not bother to ask for heaters to be turned on, but we would have liked some heat on these cool, damp September nights.

The garden is sensibly divided with the owner, but she has given a generous amount to the Gite and its very private and there are 2 places outside to sit. The house is very well appointed and my wife commented that the owner has thought of everything. its a nice decent sized place to stay for a short break, and its very conveniently located for Chinon. the owner is lovely, very friendly, but is discrete so will stay out of your way unless you need her. highly recommended.

The location was excellent. Close to the city and extremely close to the Château. The gìte is very well equipped inside and out. Though there is very limited parking available immediately outside the property. There is a decent car park less than a five minute walk away. Sylvie is very convivial host.

The Franch style square pillows were too soft.

Good size room, decor very attractive. Outdoor seating very nicely done. Sylvie very friendly and helpful.

Communication was very good .Gite was very clean and had everything you need .Situated 5min walk from town .Very quiet area .Sylvie was away at time of our visit but Lawrence was very good and friendly Romy the cat was also very nice

Everything was excellent

We had a wonderful time in the "garden house" in Sylvie's Paradise. Had a walk around Chinon every evening, sometimes using the "accenseur" when we were tired. The garden house is really wonderful, everything you could need was available. We were on a wine excursion buying wine for the coming year and were able to store it in Sylvie's underground cellar. The last evening after packing all the wine in the car we were able to leave the car inside the locked courtyard door. Wonderful time, surly hope to come back next year. Thanks again Sylvie.

The weather was sometimes terrible but that wasn't Sylvie's fault.

The property is exceptionally nice, clean, and ideally located. Sylvie the host is absolutely welcoming, nice and a pleasure to talk to.

The gite was wonderful. Very pretty, welcoming and everything we could ask for was there. Sylvie was very accommodating and on hand when needed. Comfortable bed, exceptionally clean and very well presented.

We liked everything

The setting is excellent - private but very near the centre of the town. Sylvie is an excellent host.

There was nothing I didn’t like.

A really beautiful gite with all facilities including a really restful patio area. Excellent wifi and parking no problem. Chinon is a fantastic little town with friendly people. Best of all was Sylvia our host who was so helpful and sorted out every little question we had.We would love to return there in the future

Gite la Cométe is excellently located adjacent to Chinon Fortress overlooking the old town, which can be accessed directly by lift. It is tastefully decorated and very well appointed. We spent a marvellous week here and particularly enjoyed our host's wonderful garden, which offers several seating and dining areas - all cleverly screened to provide privacy. We thank Sylvie for her warm and generous welcome and intend returning to her beautiful gite. Deirdre and Brian

Lovely gîte for 2, all facilities needed with beautiful private patio and garden. Easy access to centre via free lift, Sylvie kind and helpful if needed otherwise respectful. Chinon is lovely to explore with wine tasting, great selection of restaurants, beautiful medieval buildings and Château. Lots to do in the area.

Our host Sylvie was fantastic and the garden very relaxing. The room was beautiful and very comfortable.The proximity to the town was also great
