It's a nice base. Beware if travelling with small kids or someone a bit infirm, the stairs is quite steep!

Great location for exploring this part of Normandy. A nice walk (about 1.5km) down to Omaha beach too.

It has two bathrooms which is great, but only one toilet on the ground floor (the bedrooms are on the first floor).

The apartment is next to a restaurant - after arrival you can pick up the keys at the bar - which is helpful if you need a quick lunck or dinner - we used this opportunity and were happy with the value for money. The apartment is also very close to the Omaha Beach, only 2 minutes drive to that phantastic sandy beach. Also well located if you want to explore all the D-Day memories.

There are a few things the owner should improve. First is that the door to the bathroom does not even latch shut so a light breeze can blow the door open. Second was that not enough towels are provided. For four people we were given three tiny towels. And there were no dish towels (or napkins) in the kitchen.

Very roomy and comfortable. Pretty modern and clean. Loved that there is a full kitchen and washer and dryer. Very close to the beach and pretty quiet, even with the restaurant next door. Close to the beach and U.S. cemetery, and only a few minutes to a highway.

Location right next to a busy road during daytime, but we didn’t have problems sleeping at night because it quieted down. Bigger bath towels would’ve been nice, but we were forewarned by previous reviews and came prepared with our own.

Gite looked exactly as advertised on photos. It was clean and spacious for a family of 4.

No access to busses.. taxis are difficult and expensive to come by. a car is really necessary. Also only ONE toilet for the whole house in the lower level all the way by laundry room.

Close and easy walking to most attractions. Can preorder food from next door restaurant.

Its a pity that the wash basin is not located in the WC, it is in the next room (the shower/laundry room). The stairs are a bit dangerous for young kids (and older adults) but managable with care. There is no WC upstairs so you do have to navigate the stairs during the night should you need to use the WC.

The proximity to Omaha beach was great. The gite was compact but clean and nicely decorated. It was great to have the washing machine & drier as we are a family of 6. The kitchen facilities were good for eating in and there was also the convenience of the restaurant onsite for eating out (La Cremaillere, the owner of which also owns the Gites... A discount on the restaurant would have been nice 😁)

Only one toilet in the house made for a line with our family of 7. :) It would have been great to have a binder to tell us check-in/check-out procedures, Wi-Fi passwords, etc.

Would have helped if the cooker/microwave instructions were left in English, stairs in the property are not suitable for young children or elderly parents. No upstairs bathroom.

We enjoyed our holiday stay at Gîte Utah in Normandy and found the location convenient, hosts friendly, and the house well-equipped for all our family's needs. We would recommend visiting the hosts' restaurant next to the house and enjoying the delicious cuisine there. Very unpleasant owner. It was the first time we had such an experience with booking.com that we had to clean up the apartment or the owner will charge 70eur. It was not mentioned while booking. Booking.com was trying to reach her, but she didn’t answer to them. Please be prepared !

The owners did not meet us and when trying to contact it took more than an hour and a half to get a response. We were told a day before we came that no towels would be provided. It worked out for us since we drove from home, but would have been very frustrating if I was flying in to visit. Never saw the hosts and then got a second charge on my credit card from their business with no explanation

It is super close to Omaha Beach. It has two showers, but only one toilet. It has a washer and dryer.
