This is a nice place to stay. It’s a traditional Basque building so the rooms are basic but spotlessly clean. It has everything you need on a basic level. All in all it’s comfortable and quaint.

I would have liked a balcony to hang out beach towels and swim suits etc and I didn’t realise the room I had booked didn’t have these. It is possible to have a balcony but at an extra cost.

Good place for a family to stay for a few nights, was a good location, close to the beach and friendly staff.

There were really no convenient place to store any food, so other than the breakfast that was offered, guests have to eat out for lunch and dinner every day, so in my view, not ideal for staying more than a couple of nights.

    Property response:

To all review readers: the mezzanine room is a traditional hotel room, not an apartment. Read the description of what you're booking. To that guest from the other side of the world who made a mistake—it's human—and arrived with their arms full of supermarket groceries: How lucky were you that the owners lent you a fridge, a kitchen, utensils, and allowed you to make Bolognese pasta in the breakfast room... to garner such a great rating on Booking.com! Is it inconvenient to go to a restaurant? It's up to you to organize yourself; other people find it a pleasure associated with vacations. Ingratitude knows no bounds.

Good breakfast, nice pool, we stayed in a studio with a small kitchenette and managed to cook one dinner with the limited, but sufficient cutlery/kitchenware. They loaned out beach gear (umbrella, body board, etc) that made our visit to Biarritz wonderful. The hotel was close to a very nice restaurant near the canal/river and the local beach. The staff were helpful and pleasant.

We came by TGV from Paris into Biarritz then caught a 21 bus which stops right outside the hotel. A bus from the airport stops 2-300 yards from the hotel. We had a most friendly welcome from the proprietors. The room was nice and cool in the heatwave, and quiet - the hotel is largely sheltered from motorway and railway noise. Breakfasts were very good, and the pool was lovely. It is an easy walk to the beach at Uhabbia, slightly more challenging uphill to Plage du Centre. The Tantina there is an excellent restaurant. Up to the village centre is also an easy uphill walk. All in all an excellent and relaxing place to stay.

    We have no complaints

Clean facilities, fantastic service by the hosts.

This is not the property’s fault, but to go to the beach or the main square, one needs to walk by the main road which in parts doesn’t have pavements, which is especially problematic for those with a pram/pousette.

The hotel is close to the beach, close to the village center and in a quiet neighborhood. The room is big enough for a family of four for a few nights. It is clean. The French style breakfast is an option, but it is nice.

It is more of an aparthotel then a hotel. No cleaning and towel service in the weekend for example (although clean towels can be obtained at the reception) .

Nice hotel, short walk from village and beach. Friendly staff and pretty garden and pool.

The design of the shower meant it flooded the bathroom with nowhere for water to drain. Breakfast could have had more choice especially with fresh fruit.

Great to have a pool available and it is 5-10 minute walk from two beaches. Staff were hugely helpful and flexible and helped out with difficult arrival times and the need for an iron!

the trap door to the mezzanine floor was very steep, so I was nervous about my son climbing it by himself.

Clean, very good free parking on the premises, has a reception.

A bit dated furniture; generally clean with the exception of a stain on one of the pillows.
