How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Verified reviewThe hotel is in a good location, next to the arena of Arles. The double glazed windows make the room very quiet. But that’s all for the positives.
This hotel doesn’t deserve 3 stars at all. The room wasn’t great, quite ugly actually and not cosy at all. There were cockroaches in the bathroom (seen twice in 3 days!). The furniture was a mix of styles that didn’t fit together. Bed was uncomfortable. No big mirror. Coffee was bad too. The lounge area of the hotel was very sad. Dark red walls with again a mix of lamps that didn’t go together at all. No harmony whatsoever…and all this for 150€ a night! Such a disappointment….

The bathroom was a little cramped but given the age of the property, this was excusable.

If we were aware of our upgrade to the top suite we which was amazing we would have packed a small overnight bag for our 1 night stay as we had our luggage for our month of travels in France. There was no lift so many many stars to get our luggage up and down. Just for guests to keep in mind.

The parking information was misleading. The listing mentions parking, parking garage, and accessible parking, but in reality, guests are asked to park at Parking du Centre in Arles (about 650 m away) or on the street. This should be clarified in the description!

Options include the public The Parking du Centre is not 1.1 km away, but 368 m from the hotel. I do it every day to take up my receptionist position. Your concept of distance needs to be reviewed. or street parking when available. We understand that the terms used (such as "parking garage" or "accessible parking") may have given a different impression, and we are currently reviewing our description to make it even clearer for future guests. Verified reviewWe are so grateful for a wonderful stay. The location of this hotel could not have been better. It is so close to all the Roman ruins and cafes and restaurants in the town. Our room was furnished absolutely beautifully, and parking in the center garage was easy once we figured out that this was not right at the hotel.
It was the middle of a heat wave when we visited (highs over 100 degrees F for several days). The air conditioning in our third floor room had a bit of a hard time keeping up, such that we struggled to sleep at night. If it had only been a bit cooler which is is typical for the time of year we visited, it would have been fine.

Verified reviewThis was one of the most beautiful hotels we have ever stayed at. All the communal areas were filled with lovely things and the decor was dark, atmospheric and so relaxing. Our room was spacious and very well appointed and even though it was on the ground floor, it was very quiet. The staff were just so welcoming and made our visit extra special. I only wish we had been able to spend more than one night. We will definitely stay there again if we every re-visit Arles.
There is absolutely nothing we didn´t like about this hotel.

Verified reviewThe check-in was very easy and the room was spacious and private. The bedding was so comfortable and promoted good sleep. It is in the center of the town so you can walk to all the interesting places and restaurants from there.
The bathtub/shower felt outdated. The breakfast was good but it felt that it wasn't managed very efficiently regarding keeping supplies of food and cleaning out the tables to ensure there are enough tables ready for new comers. Something easy to improve.

Could not park nearby as car park suggested had height restriction too low for our Landrover. Parked 20 minutes away be train station for free so worked out.

Notice about the water being switched off in Arles after 10pm in the summer. I would directly book a room in the main building next time I come, less stairs.

The WiFi reception that wasn't that strong (I had a 2 bed room at the outer edge of the hotel), and the mattress was way too soft for my taste.
