Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

TurkeyThe room was very small and everything inside was quite old, although it was clean. The shower was extremely compact — moving around is definitely a challenge. Also, there were very few power outlets, which made it difficult to charge all my devices.
The location is absolutely perfect — central, safe, and within walking distance to almost everything you’d want to see in Paris. Despite being in such a prime area, the price was incredibly budget-friendly. The staff were always kind and welcoming, and there was someone at the front desk 24/7, which made me feel safe.

FranceThe water took a solid 10 minutes to heat up in order to take a shower and the bathroom was just not up to the modern standards. There's no airconditionning in the room, and even though i was there mid-april, it was very warm even with an open window.
The staff was very helpfull and the location ideal and close to everything. The bed was comforable. It's ideal for short stays if you're only in Paris to explore or for some fast travel.

NetherlandsOur room, was located behind a service room for staff, which was unexpected and odd to us. Because it's secluded you depend on two doors to exit. Which is not great from a perspective of fire safety. We didn't mind because we were together, however as a solo traveller it might be uncomfortable and worth considering when booking. The hotel interior is outdated and our room was rudementary but still functional. The drain was blocked, so taking a shower gradually flooded the entire bathroom. If you don't mind a quick shower, it works! The toilet "brush" made me smile too, because was worn to the core and became a stick. This memorable hotel is definitely not part of the throwaway society!
the location of the hotel is great. The Louvre within walking distance is a great advantage. Furthermore the area is urban and lively with plenty affordable restaurants. If you just need a strategical location and don't have expectations beyond a bed, it works. The staff is nothing but friendly!

CroatiaThe main drawback is that the building is not accessible for people with mobility challenges, as there is no elevator, only stairs. Everything is rather small and narrow, especially if you are on the taller or heavier side. The bathroom is really tiny, but at least you don't have to share it with other guests. The hotel building is old, which is noticeable in the plumbing, so there is a slightly unpleasant odor in the bathroom. The sliding bathroom door is not very well-designed, as it often gets stuck and can be hard to open or close. However, these are minor inconveniences compared to all the advantages that this hotel offers.
An exceptional location in the very heart of Paris, with plenty of shops, restaurants, and cafes right outside the window. It's close to the train and metro stations, and the bus stop is just around the corner. If you enjoy walking, many landmarks are only a few minutes away, such as the Louvre Museum or Notre Dame Cathedral. And trust me, you won't find anything as affordable in such a prime location. The hotel staff is very friendly and always at your service. Special praise goes to Miss Aurelie, who welcomed and assisted us. Even though some of the staff during our five-day stay between Christmas and New Year's were students working there two days a week, every single one of them was incredibly helpful. Breakfast is served until 10:30, and you'll enjoy a fresh and delicious croissant, baguette, butter, and fruit jam, with your choice of juice (pineapple, orange, or apple), tea, or very good coffee (black or with milk). All the baked goods are freshly prepared and brought straight to your table from a small bakery around the corner. Everything is absolutely delicious, just as you'd expect! Even if you arrive after breakfast hours, the staff ensures you won’t miss out. But don’t take advantage of it; it’s not polite. In addition to the wonderful breakfast, the surrounding area offers a variety of dining options to suit every taste and budget. From charming cafes where you can enjoy a quick coffee and pastry, to cozy bistros and fine dining restaurants, there’s no shortage of places to explore and savor French cuisine. Be sure to try the nearby crêperies for authentic and mouthwatering crêpes, both sweet and savory. The staff can also call a taxi for you, and there’s a restroom and luggage storage available at the reception after you check out of your room. In short, the staff makes you feel like part of the family, and that, along with the location, is the hotel's greatest treasure.

Bosnia and HerzegovinaI was on top flor and there is no elevator. Again, I knew what I was signing up for, and since I would leave in the morning, and not come back untill evening, it was not a big deal tbh. Internet signal was bad in the room, but i bought tourist sim card, so that was not a big issue for me.
First thing first... you are paying for location. And it is worth every penny. If you are coming from CDG airport this is the perfect location bc the train station is literally 5 mins walk to the hotel. Louvre is 10 mins walk, and also there is bunch of pubs, restaurants and cafes nearby. In 15 mins you can walk to Nottre Damme and Latin Quarter too. Honestly, best location in Paris imho, especially for first time visitor. Staff was really nice, room was clean and bed is comfy. I was literally all day outside exploring and sightseeing, so if that's what you're planning to do, I would recommend this hotel.

South AfricaThe shower was a bit small but the bathroom facilities were clean so I cannot really fault the place it was a great place for a short stay.
The location is excellent its within walking distance of Chatelet metro station which is one of the busiest stations around, its also around a few Bakeries, markets and restaurants on the street but its not noisy so your sleep is not disturbed. (This is important for me as I sleep very light). Its also close to Westfield shopping centre and other tourist sites like the Louvre. They have strict key protocol which ensures safety and there is 24 hour service. Great for solo travel.
