Location was tranquil. Staff were lovely. On site cat 😀 Fantastic food and wine.

Everything was exceptional. The rooms are large with modern shower bathroom. The bedroom opens to a private patio with a territorial view overlooking the lovely town of Sarlat. There's a pool and a veranda by the dinning room for outdoor seating. Sign up for the half board which offers breakfast and a delicious three course dinner. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We english speakers were baffled by the french language dinner offering the first night. The rest of our stay the waiters translated the menu each night into english. Greatly appreciated.

Absolutely nothing.

The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. The breakfast had many choices. The location was ideal for visiting Sarlat and is beautifully situated on the side of the valley. We enjoyed a drink on terrace in the evening and also breakfast there the following morning.

After a long drive from the Loire Valley we arrived in Salart, the most beautiful Medieval town in the Dordogne Valley. Check in was a couple of hours away at 4pm, we parked the car and explored the place. I chose Le Meysset for it's location, the hotel is a couple of kms from the centre of town, situated on a hill with a swimming pool. After check in we sat by the pool until 7.30pm overlooking the a valley. Our room was clean and well appointed with a little private garden area in front of our door The second night we booked for dinner, the food and service was outstanding. Breakfast was a buffet and we sat out on the terrace. Highly recommend this family run hotel.

Only one criticism, one needs to step into a deep Bath tub to take a shower.

Nice bed, good views, Sarlat

Room a bit tired, restaurant staff generally unhelpful, some downright rude. Lounge was closed for three days of our stay, so there no where in doors to have an apertiff.

Lovely grounds. Terrace and pool area very nice.

Room was simple bordering on basic.

The hotel is traditional and very charming. It was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The pool has excellent views over the valley and was very quiet with lots of sun beds. The hotel is perfectly located. 5 mins into Sarlat. The staff were all very helpful and friendly.

Beautiful hotel with fabulous views. Amazing food.

We had travelled from the south that day and just needed somewhere quiet to relax. I booked the hotel as it had a nice garden. Unfortunately we arrived in cold and rain so couldn’t take advantage of the facilities. It’s well situated though and easy to get to from Sarlat. The public rooms are comfy the dining room looks good.

Good breakfast, beautiful views, plenty of parking. A short drive into Sarlat, but too far/steep to walk unless you’re ultra fit.

Most of the staff seemed pretty miserable, as though somebody had just died!

The staff were wonderful, the views of the countryside amazing, food was very good, room was clean and comfortable.

You need a car to visit Sarlat or enjoy long uphill walks!

Lovely property, very quiet location with beautiful views

Bit disappointed with the dinner menu, I explained I was vegetarian, they said fine they would sort something out for me. When it came to order I was told they would take the meat/fish off. I ended up with a plate of lettuce with a few tomatoes and then a bowl of mash potatoes with some veg on top. Dessert was lovely. But I was charged for 3 courses

Location above Sarlat was good. Food in the evenings was well prepared and we enjoyed the half board option.

Some breakfast items in short supply. Our bedroom was small with odd mix of furniture. Modern chairs were not comfy. Room dominated by picture of a lion which bore no resemblance to anything else! Worst of all, bathroom smelt of drains.
