I couldnt fault what is a value for money booking.

The Aube Valley is so much more than a stopover on the route south and this is an excellent venue. The combination of the accommodation and restaurant make it a restful stay. I have resolved to make it a future base for a longer visit.

Room was a bit warm during the night and couldn't open windows due to lots of bugs. A bug screen would have been helpful, or room fan.

Even one English language TV channel would have been appreciated, but understand not many English language visitors do not justify it.

Good bedrooms and shower rooms, had good night’s sleep after a very long journey. Lovely picturesque town/ village. Wish we had the time to eat but were delayed 4 hours by heavy slow traffic from accidents on motorway. As always I wish France gave just one TV channel over to English language so we could catch up with news!

What a gem! Unpretentious, rooms nothing special but comfortable, a genuine place. Very convenient for travel on A5 in particular. Excellent breakfast and evening meal. And a warm welcome. Thank you!

Room and bathroom were a little small and dated. Bed was a bit small. On top floor with two flights of stairs to climb with luggage. No soap or shower gel in bathroom when we arrived so had to ask for these.

Characterful hotel. Good restaurant . Good location not far from motorway. Free parking. Nice breakfast.

Room overlooked main road but hotel location made this unavoidable from most rooms. No traffic noise during night though, so no problem.

Nice simple hotel in convenient location near autoroute access. Comfortable room. Hotel adjacent to a quite busy road, but this quietened in the evening and night. Nice restaurant on site with good food. Breakfast was extra cost but not expensive and was good value. Staff very friendly. Good parking.

Family of 13 ranging from 2yrs to 66. We loved this hotel. We only stayed for one night on route. For us this was the real deal. Fairly basic, clean and comfortable ozing character and very wonderfully french. We enjoyed a very satisfactory dinner and breakfast was delicious - not one crumb left. The most exciting surprise was that we were right next to Clairvaux prison with its amzing history and some very interesting inmates!

It was very convenient place to stop on the way to the Alps from Calais. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly. The bedrooms are basic but very comfortable and clean. It was great to be able to have two adjoining rooms (family room) as we were travelling with our two boys.
