Banging noise above room every day from 830-9am disturbing sleep and stops after we call the reception and complain. Means they continue to do it deliberately everyday eventhough they know guests' sleep get disturbed. Sleep is gone by now. Other than that everything was wonderful. Menus could have some more veg options. We couldnt dine in any of the 3 as only one veg item was the herb pasta. But shuttle team is awesome and we cud visit any where, anytime till 1030pm. We hope to be back.

Swimming pool/saunas are pretty limited (I'm not sure about dedicated SPA area) - pool is fine, but not to many beds, small sauna (finish only), no jaccuzi.

Very nice room, clean and well equipped. Very good infrastructure for skiers, including ski-out/ski in to the slopes. Great view from the room. Complimentary water deliveries were twice a day, great. Good food in restaurants.

We were on breakfast only. We had diner a few times in the restaurant. Overall good (breakfast with a lot of choice, but bit short staffed to be able to order a choice of eggs) with prices comparable to restaurants in town. Location was about 10min walk from center of town.

Staff at the reception, the ski room and the wellness were very welcoming and went out of their way to be of service. Our room was spacious and comfortable.

Cleaning and maintaining the rooms shall be improved. For a 5 star and this price tag it is not what expected. Shuttle service - at the end of skiing it is a rush hour and it can take half an hour to be picked up. Laundry service is poor - all stains are not cleaned, clothes are just refreshed.

A good place to stay in Val Thorens - the bar and fireplace is a nice place to rest after ski. The ski shop is very attentive and helpful. Restaurants provide a good choice of different types of food but keep in mind booking for all days of stay on the date of arrival. Spa and pool is a must for visit especially after ski.

However, the main downside of my stay was the food. I opted for the half-board option but was disappointed with the dinners. The menu featured strange combinations of ingredients, unappetizing sauces, and dishes that often didn’t meet expectations. As a result, I chose to have a hearty lunch on the slopes and only had a salad at the hotel in the evenings. It’s worth noting that the selection of salads was very limited – essentially, the only option was a Caesar salad. Other appetizers labeled as salads didn’t really qualify as such. My recommendation to the hotel is to reconsider their approach to the cuisine, improve the variety, and focus on making the dishes more flavorful and appealing. This would significantly enhance the overall guest experience.

The Koh-i Nor Hotel left a generally positive impression. The main highlight for me was its excellent spa – modern, cozy, and perfect for relaxing after a day on the slopes. Breakfast limited and long wait for hot drinks. TV not smart, not connected to the internet so only one English Channel for news and could not watch Netflix etc even with chrome cast via phone to tv, not great if having a quiet night in. Staff gave incorrect information re timings for ski shop and shuttle. Hot drinks a breakfast took a long time. At these high prices we expect these little things to be the extra special difference so we were a little disappointed.

Location, style, ski shop all excellent. Staff lovely but fully informed so we received frustrating incorrect information.

The hotel hasn't had much of a makeover since last time we were there, 10 years ago. The staff at a 5 star hotel, you would expect, to be more attentive. We had to ask for a lot of things as opposed to the staff looking out fir you.

Reception employees who are not in a hurry to find solutions to the problem, but refer you to other services or for tomorrow. Very bad service in the main restaurant. It was very strange and unpleasant to encounter this in a hotel of this level. The kitchen was surprising in a bad way. We ordered the same dish for several people and everyone received completely different quality. When the waiter was told about this and asked to invite the cook, the cook did not come, and there was no apology from the kitchen. I don't recommend ordering dinner in the price of your stay, it's not nice to be held hostage by such poor quality at a 5 star price.

The location of the hotel is super, comfort in the room, spa at a high level. Wonderful, friendly and professional staff in the lounge bar. the guys in the ski service are excellent and good equipment

We wanted to order breakfast to the room, there is a breakfast menu card that you have to fill in and hang outside the room at night. The instructions on the card said to hang it before 2 AM. We put it out around midnight and asked to be served between 8 and 8:30 ; nobody arrived until 8:40 so I looked outside and the card was still there! Nobody picked it up at night and of course nobody had prepared breakfast for us. I called reception they apologized and sent someone to pick it up - took another 45 minutes, so we started our day 2 hours late. Then, 2 days later, we put out the breakfast card a 11 PM, this time I called the reception and TOLD them about it - they said they are sending someone right away to pick it up. Next morning - same thing, nobody took the card, I had to call and again, got the breakfast very late. Housekeeping: when cleaning the room, more than once did not replace towels or replenish soap and amenities. Food in the half-board dinner was just OK, no more than that, and at least two of the evenings we had to wait an hour for a table - dining schedule must be better planned. For such a high priced hotel, these things should not happen at all.

Room quality is high, very clean and comfortable, overall ambience of the hotel is warm and welcoming. View from the lobby terrace is amazing. Ski shop staff are professional, helpful and friendly. The shuttle service to town and back is super helpful and timely. The Spa is one of the best in the area, the swimming pool is really big enough to swim in, and heated just enough to swim comfortably but not to much, as in other hotels.

Very poor breakfast , every day the same food, little variety of dishes. Very slow staff at L'Atelier D'Eric during breakfast. Once we ordered fried egg - we did not get them, another day ... after 20 min. The same with coffee. Bed organisation. For dinner this Atelier - not very nice ambiance, the same with cave restaurant - uninviting. The hotel spa - interesting with nice swimming pool , sauna , hammam, and jacuzzi but guests are entirely left themselves, noisy people sitting in wet bathing suits in the sauna making it wet and unpleasant no reaction from staff ( otherwise nice young lady ). No cultural attractions in the evenings, such as live music or other attractions, as is the case in other hotels of this standard. Because of all this I think maybe 4 star for sure not 5

Hotel Koh-i-nor .... very nice rooms, spacey clean with good ambiance. Location - directly on slop:) Service and the staff at the ski shop absolutely the best - five star for sure! Restaurant Black Diamond - fantastic, nice staff, very good food - dinner in tasting menu style but very nice with variety of taste and after this menu you are not overeaten. Strongly recommend. In the evenings you may sit at the bar by fire place having drinks.
