The hotel looked good, was very well situated, had a very good restaurant and the staff were always very helpful. The owner even gave us a lift to meet a friend in a neighbouring village when he couldn’t find a taxi!

The occupant of a neighbouring room decided to hold very loud phone calls late at night, not the hotels problem but frustrating.

Staff were very friendly. Stored bicycles for us with no fuss. Dinner in the restaurant was very good and again staff were very friendly and good service. Room was basic, clean with a good bed was excellent, had a great nights sleep.

I found the shower difficult to operate initially but soon got the hang of it. There wasn't a great deal to dislike. I very much enjoyed my stay and found the people in the town itself very warm, friendly and welcoming, as well as the hotel staff.

The room was spacious and comfortable and the staff very friendly. The hotel had much more 'character' than might be expected from a 'chain' hotel. I only had one evening meal there and it was excellent. The breakfast choices were also wide ranging and nutritious. There was a friendly atmosphere among both guests and staff. Breakfast times were very convivial, which I found very welcome as a lone traveller. I had some problems with a bike I'd hired - which were rectified by the hirer the next day - and was impressed how guests tried to help me with those. The hotel had a very welcoming atmosphere.

Having to leave a town and area which has so much to offer the tourist. Walking, boating, history, villages nearby....

We arrived a day early on a two night booking but were accommodated very well in room vingt deux which had plenty of space. The restaurant was excellent and the staff as well. If I didn't live so far away I would be booking a table fairly regularly.

We absolutely loved this hotel, the rooms were large and comfortable and the staff great. The restaurant served quality food to the point where we invited friends there for a meal the next night. Overall this is definitely a hotel where we would stay again.

The location is excellent. The breakfast was very good. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was updated and easy to use.

They were doing renovations which would have been good to know before hand as I would have chosen another hotel. I had to open my windows in the middle of the night a few times to air out the strong smell of paint which was giving me a head rush. I had to walk through a construction site to get to my room and the restaurant was closed. I arrived late and chose the hotel based on the fact that I was going to have dinner there too. I would have just liked to know at least that there were renovations happening, or given some compensation on the high price of the room for the inconvenience.

The room was comfortable and the hotel was in a central location.

Hotel is undergoing extensive building repairs. This work has closed the Restaurant and put the skeleton staff under pressure. A keypad door lock engages at 7pm!! So when I returned after seeking a restaurant at 7.30 I was locked out with no staff inside. Eventually got back in at 8.30 and found code. Breakfast next day although booked was unstaffed with no cold milk and lukewarm coffee. Ugh!

Possibly the lavatory flush which kept running, but not a problem, just needed a check up.

From beginning to end everything was perfect. The staff were very friendly and the food was excellent. I will definitely stay here again.
