How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The floor was quite dirty. Also lots of fluff and dust under the bed. Our little chihuahua went under the bed and got out all dusty. But the bathroom was clean
Comfortable bed, dog friendly. There’s free parking in the street. There’s a very good restaurant in the hotel (don’t be put off by the fact that it’s in a hotel - it’s probably the best in town), but closed on Sundays

The smoking could be completely eliminated from the amenities of the site.
Strategic position in the region famous for what it's famous. Easy to reach Reims, Epernay, Ay, Ambonnay, Bouzy, etc. Comfortable enough, clean, cheap, private, decent restaurant Terre de Craie- excellent value for your money compared to different chateau-style-hotels 4 or 5 times more expensive with ambiguously better service, slightly better breakfast food though well under the level of world class...

The town and surroundings has very few facilities on a sunday, so plan or book your entertainment well in advance. If you do that you will love the weekend away.
Location perfect for the champagne experience we planned. Cleanliness outstanding, Friendly and very helpful staff. Very modern comfortable room.

Not sure the sheets were 100% clean. There was no top sheet.

Uncomfortable sofa, tiny plates only in kitchenette. Air con not switched on in property despite 27 centigrade outside, and forecast of warm weather had been obvious for several days.

My A/C didn’t work in the room
Breakfast was very good. Fresh bread large selection of continental foods and continental hot selection. Great drinks choice, fresh fruits cereals and cakes. The hotel restaurant food in the evening was fantastic!

The layout of the buildings: Reception is hidden away in the back building.
The rooms were modern, clean and comfy and the buffet breakfast was fresh and exceptional. The dinner in the French restaurant was excellent and delicious.

Too much overhead lighting. Good to have a separate toilet room, but not to fail to provide a toilet roll holder. Disappointing not to be able to dine on our night in a quality hotel, though the restaurant recommended was very good.
The room was extremely large and comfortable, if a little soulless due to little external light. The bed was high quality. The facilities were broadly good. Surface parking was secure and easy to use.

The air conditioning wasn’t really cold and it was very hot weather. It wasn’t too bad.
A well thought out, spacious and very comfortable room. Excellent find with attached restaurant (didn’t realise and thought it was an every day priced resto but it was very good). Well placed and house champagne v good - family owned.

The walls are paper thin, the noisy neighbours kept us up until late hours of the morning (can hear every word they say), you can even hear when they flush the chain during the night. Also no AC in the room so we didn’t sleep well at all.
Location was good and the outside bar terrace was pleasant. The rooms are spacious and clean and the staff are friendly.

Was a pity that the hotel restaurant was closed, but we were informed of that in advance (it was the weekly rest days) .
Very good value for money, clearly recently renovated the rooms have space and with modern and comfortable furniture. Good WiFi and tv screen that you can stream (like Netflix). We also bought some champagne at very fair rate from the same owners of the hotel.
