Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsGreat experience. In the middle of forest just outside Sault. Ideal for Ventoux challenge. The owner was very kind at all time and prepared a nice breakfast that she put on the fridge. Great facilities overall and highly recommended. (Thank you for the opportunity to extend by one additional night :))

NetherlandsThe location is fantastic, the views over the valley, the air filled with lavender and pine. Everything is very spacious and you feel like it’s all for you. The staff is very efficient, but you don’t see them. The room is clean and comfortable. The restaurant is excellent. I don’t have all the words to express how wonderful it was. It was probably the best stay we hard ever. Thank you for that!

IrelandPlace was excellent and only minor downside for us was short walk from village as we had no car available to us but this was entirely negated by wonderful receptionist who gave us a lift so thank you so much to him!!
Excellent and friendly staff who went out of their way to assist. In particular the young man at reception who drove us to wedding we were attending in church in Village given absenceand cost of taxis in area. Thank you!!

AustraliaBed was very hard. In-room safe could only be used if a €50 deposit paid at reception.
Excellent air conditioning. Quiet peaceful complex with distant views over the valley towards Mont Ventoux. Small outdoor terrace for the room with the same view. Two comfortable seats and small table inside room. Good hot water and pressure in the shower. Soft bathrobes, large bath towels, pool towels all in room. Bike storage room locked from 8pm to 8am (although we just kept ours locked outside our room). One pool was half-covered and heated to 35°, and another was outside in the sun. Soap-saver by using a unique device that grated the soap. There was liquid soap if preferred.

CanadaProximity to Mt Ventoux but not in the center of town and thus was very quiet. The staff in the restaurant were very friendly and efficient and along with very good food this made for an enjoyable evening after cycling. The reception folks on checkin made sure you had everything your room required; a very nice touch versus just being handed a key.

NetherlandsDinner on Saturday was a bit chaotic and slow, likely due to how busy it was. We were never offered a wine list, which was a shame given the impressive selection on display behind glass. That said, the food was delicious, and the English-speaking waiter was very helpful and attentive.
Great location with stunning views — you can see Mont Ventoux from the sauna or the pool! The receptionist was fantastic: very helpful, quick to resolve the small hiccups during our stay, and his English is excellent.

AustraliaGreat location. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice breakfast. However let down by the quality of the accommodation- the bathrooms and kitchen are not very practical and not very well finished. Not worth what we paid. We did enjoy our stay here though.

United KingdomIt was all great. Maybe having the indoor pool heated would have been nice as I had sold this to the kids.
It’s a large property with everything you need and that has been built and developed over years by the owner who has invested his life into it. We were in October so at the end of the season so unfortunately couldn’t benefit from the pool and the sundeck. Surely worth a visit during summer season as it has a lot of shadow and trees. The region around is absolutely stunning. Was really impressed by the breakfast!! So many choices and many homemade cakes and viennoiseries. A real treat!

AustraliaOne night during our stay there was a powerful storm with driving rain that came in through the ceiling of the kitchen in several places and kept dripping in until the rain stopped later in the day. The staff were helpful in cleaning up the water, but there is an underlying maintenance issue to prevent the leaks happening. When we arrived on a sunny summer afternoon the kitchen was terribly hot. It is installed on an enclosed balcony, with a simple plastic plate roof over and no blinds or curtains to reduce the sun-load on the large south facing glass doors. The floorboards in the bedroom creak, so your partner getting up in the night will wake you if you are a light sleeper. The lighting in the bathroom and living room is very dim. Having to buy and pay for coffee capsules after the four supplied, when paying almost EUR340 per night for the accommodation.
We stayed for 7 nights in the apartment with terrasse (the most expensive of the options on offer). We enjoyed the beautiful uninterrupted view over the valley with the lavender fields and Mount Ventoux in the distance. The location is excellent, peaceful but less than 2 km from the centre of Sault, which is a charming good size village. The apartment was as shown in the photos. The bed is large and comfortable. The bathroom is spacious with good storage provided. The kitchen is well equipped with appropriate size pots and pans for cooking your own meals (there is a supermarket close by). A desk along the side of the living room provides very useful space for working on a computer and charging devices. The staff were very cheerful and helpful, a young guy helped with our luggage when we checked in, and another kindly lent us a mobile internet connector when the property wifi was down due to a recent storm.
