Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

FranceIt’s a bit down at the heel. My room had mold in the bathroom ceiling, a bathtub plug had been removed, toilet seat attachment was broken. The outlet near the bed didn’t work. Needed some plaster repair and paint on the walls and ceilings.
Its location on the route to Saint Guilhem was good, although a bit far from town center.

United KingdomThe rooms could use a little tlc but that really didn't matter to us and for the cost of the room I wasn't expecting the Ritz.
This is a great little Hotel in a fantastic part of France. We were offered a different room when checking in with a balcony. The room has a very good sized fridge. The pool was cleaned in the mornings and we saw them checking PH levels a few times. Its in a quiet area with good access to St Guilhem Le Desert and also a small beach on the river nearby which has access to Kayaks from which you can go up the gorge. The people that own the hotel were very helpful and spoke good English.

NetherlandsThe bed had obviously not been cleaned after the previous guests. We found hairs on the pillow and on the coversheets there was a lot of sand. Highly priced for what you get. At breakfast they served only very old bread and tough dry pastries, must have all been from a couple of days/day before. The yellow egg yolk turned green, dried out pieces of melon and there was no cheese or whatsoever. At night the restaurant was closed. Wifi was not working. The pool looked cloudy and felt dirty. If only they would higher their hygienic standards and improve the breakfast you pay for, because they’re hospitable owners.
Nice, hospitable owners. Warm welcome. A very original entry with their vintage reception, looked like a museum!

United KingdomThe pool condition was bad. There was sand in it, it was green, cloudy and stagnant with no chlorine and the tiles were cracked. We had a baby which we didn’t want to put in it. It looked nothing like the picture on the website. The towels had holes in them and sometimes we were given one towel per couple! We were made to pay upfront on arrival for the full week which I have never had before on Booking.com and we now understand why. The rooms were basic for the amount charged, one bedside table instead of two, no drawers for example. The initial welcome was cold. The reception was closed constantly and we couldn’t find someone to help us most of the time. In fact we wanted to complain on leaving but couldn’t find anyone to do it to so that is why we are having to do it on here. The pool table as advertised was not there. Wifi kept dropping out and would not log on immediately so you had to fill out an online form every time. To sum up, it was overpriced, there was no management presence on site, the facilities were substandard and we were forced to pay in advance of seeing the rooms or any of the hotel.
The staff members were very helpful when we encountered them and had a good attitude, apart from the female owner. Good water pressure. Great location. Nice to have a terrace and they let us eat our own food.

United KingdomThe internet access was supposed to be free. However, customers have to provide personal data to be able to make use of an insecure network.
Those working at the hotel were very helpful. The location suited my needs. I accept that the pool, restaurant and bar were closed because they did not have enough people staying in October.

United KingdomWe were obviously out of season in mid-May, apart from meals which had been pre-arranged for our large group on three evenings, the restaurant was not open for lunch or evening meal.
Pleasant family run hotel with interesting Harry Potter and Grimwald themes. The staff were very pleasant and helpful.

FranceWould have liked to have heated up the milk for my coffee at breafast but its my fault not to have asked. A minor point.
Meals were excellent in view that a large group was being catered for. Breakfast was very good with delicious coffee. It had a relaxed family atmosphere and they were particularly helpful when one of the group had a flat tyre. Would loved to have tried the pool but the weather was too cold!

FinlandThe room wasn’t really clean, especially the bathroom. The bathtub was not for a bath, but just a facility for a shower. The tap water became warm very slowly. The restaurant food was okay, but overpriced compared to restaurants in the village and nearby villages.
It was quiet with beautiful surroundings.

FranceWe did not have access to the decorated entrance and rooms ( except for breakfast). We had access via a back door and into a cold corridor to our room. Sink tap did not work. No meals - no bar. Minimum staff ( although pleasant). This place is to avoid at Christmas. Depressing ambiance- although the owners had a private Xmas party in the pretty bar. Unsure about a summer experience as the pool area looked abandoned.
We booked based on the website showing beautiful indoor decorations. We expected some Xmas experience which turned out to be for the owners only. They accepted dogs.

United KingdomWhen I arrived the hotel reception was closed even though I had been messaging with the owner so they knew exactly what time I would be arriving, had to call them to tell them I was waiting outside, they finally arrived after about a half hour wait, when she did arrive it was like she was annoyed that I had interrupted her day to welcome me. One of the main reasons I chose this hotel was because it had a restaurant so I wouldn't have to drive anywhere to eat, but I could just relax, unfortunately the restaurant and bar was closed, no warning in advance that it would be closed. The room was very basic and dated. I couldn't take a bath as there was no plug. The only plug socket next to the bed was broken. The door to the room was hard to open and didn't lock from the inside, so I put a chair against the door when I went to sleep. The pool was green, not like the photos.
There was easy parking, and the waiter who served breakfast was very cheerful
