Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe bathrooms were a bit smelly and small and dated. We didn’t have time to use the spa facilities which I noticed was priced for walk ins at 35 euro per person. I would have preferred to pay a cheaper overall price and pay seperate for the spa because it didn’t open until 10am the following morning and we needed to leave before then so therefore we could not use it.

New ZealandRoom got a bit hot without air-conditioning. Good to be able to open the balcony door to get air circulating. Fan was helpful.
The hotel has an excellent lobby. The rooms are nice with a good amount of space. There’s a very effective fan in the room which was really necessary for the heat. Got a bit stuffy, so needed to open the balcony door also. Great location. We had an early morning booking at Aiguille du Midi so it was wonderful to have only a 5 minute walk to the gondola . The buffet breakfast was very good (starts at 6.30, which was also great for an early start). Lots of restaurants close by. Staff were friendly and helpful. Really handy to be able to store bags in the luggage room. The Grepon Park and Ride is only about a 5 minute walk away. Highly recommend parking there - cost about 25 euros for around a day and a half’s parking. Plus you can leave your car here even after you have checked out.

LithuaniaThe reception area looks pristine, but the moment you step beyond it, the hotel no longr feels like a 4-star property. The interiors are outdated and in clear need of renovation. Our room had spiderwebs, a broken shower handle, and no option to switch rooms or have the issues resolved.
SPA area and swimming pool were nice.

United StatesOne of the connections in the shower wasn't fully tightened, so when I used the shower, a stream of water would spray vertically out and wet the far end of the bathroom near the toilet
The hotel was in a great area, directly across the street from the bus station, which minimized my travel in the rain the morning I left. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was a good size and very clean. It was a bit warm inside during the day, but there was a high-quality Dyson fan in the room that helped cool it down, and at night cracking the door to the balcony was a good way to keep cool, and there was barely any noise from the street below. The bed was very very comfortable and I had a really great sleep. The breakfast deserves the exceptional designation on here--there was so much to choose from, both sweet and savory options.

United KingdomThe rooms were quite small, as is the bathroom and there is very little cupboard space the 2x usb charging points next to the bed were both broken in both of the rooms we had, suggests it is fairly common in other rooms. The room was very hot, options to cool were a loud fan and or open the door to the v small balcony, but on the first floor facing the street it was very noisy- we didn't have one good nights sleep in the 4 nights we were there. If you want to stay in this hotel, insist on a room not facing the road!!!! Parking is available but at €25 per day it is a little bit much

FinlandI booked a half board wich is usually a bargain in the Alps but this time because I did’t do my research properly I might have end up losing money because it seems like you pay 42 euros in advance and can then choose dishes worth the same amount in the restaurant in the evening. If you can’t eat that much (like me), it’s not worth it. I was here before the makeover, some renovation and rebranding, they raised their rates by some +20% and I’m not sure if the hotel is worth that money anymore. At the reception they have still work to do with the customer service (i.e. promising to call me when the room is ready, me not receiving that call and popping up little before the check in time just to find that the room is actually ready).
I’m a returning customer and it’s solely because of the outdoor spa, meaning an outdoor jacuzzi and a pool with a Mont Blanc view. The spa is so great that it makes me forgive all the minor inconvincies I seem to have with this hotel every time. The food at the restaurant is tasty and the people working at the bar and restaurant seem to do their best. Also MB views from the restaurant and some of the rooms. Thanks for upgrading my room to the MB side!

Monaco- As I said before, 2 out of 5 days something in their spa was not working. The first time the receptionist managed the problem very well, but the last day in spa spoiled my impression. That day I had a paragliding tour, it was very cold so the first thing I needed after I was back to the hotel was sauna. I went there and found it not working (it was cold and there was written « stop » at the panel). It was 7pm. I took a picture and went to the reception. There was another lady there whom I saw the fist time during my 5 days stay. She was incredibly unprofessional. After I asked to call the technician she said that « maybe » it’s cold because they are closing. But it was 7pm! Before I was always staying in their spa till 8pm with no problem. After I told her that, her face showed some annoyance by the fact that I’m insisting to solve the problem. She said she would call the technician. And, you know, no one came even after 1 hour! I’m sure she didn’t call anyone. At least she could be honest with me telling me that I can forget about sauna that evening, so I could go to my room. Instead, I spent 1 hour outside waiting, got nothing at the end and the next day woke up sick! - The last evening of my stay I went to their restaurant again I was served by one girl who seemed new there, she didn’t know anything about their menu. I wanted to order ravioli and asked what was inside, she said « I don’t know »! - The last day of my stay I decided to take a drink before going to the spa and the barman told me he doesn’t understand English. Hmm, but he is working at the hotel, how is it possible? His face was very annoyed when I was talking with him in English and he was replying only in French. Very unprofessional for a hotel. I also had a closed bottle of wine in the room, there was no bottle opener in the room so I took the bottle and went downstairs to the bar to ask them to open.
I stayed there for 5 days and everything was absolutely perfect till my last day. During 4 days of my stay the stuff was just amazing. Then, as I suppose, the last day of my stay they had a stuff shift and there were different people serving me at the bar, restaurant and at the reception (absolutely unprofessional comparing to the previous ones). The positive things were: - Food is really not bad at their Italian restaurant for Chamonix standards. I tried some other restaurants in the city and everywhere I had horrible food. And in this hotel restaurant, surprisingly, food was the best. Well it’s not as tasty as in Italy but comparing to what I had in other places it was more than ok. Stuff there was incredibly professional and polite till my last evening there. - I really enjoyed my first days staying at the bar and chatting with the stuff. They gave me some useful tips about the city and were preparing really good cocktails. Everything was perfect until last day there, as I mentioned before. - The second day of my stay the hammam was not working but the lady at the reception tried to do her best to solve the problem asap. I had to wait a bit till their hammam was fixed. It was already almost 8pm (they close at 8), so the receptionist was very nice to offer me 30 min more. I didn’t really use this option but it was very nice of her. To tell the truth 2 out of 5 days something was not working in their spa but that fist time the receptionist managed the problem quite well (comparing to the second time - read below..)
