How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Very good quality for the money. Comfortable beds. Breakfast available 6-10 am and keeping full ingredients at all times. Perfect location to get to CERN.

We were located on the ground floor and the window had no net or blind so we felt a bit exposed and had to keep the curtain closed which made the room quite dark. Unfortunately for us on our last day there were 3 coach loads of people all wanting to have breakfast at the same time and they were incredibly inconsiderate of other guests even pushing my young children out of the way to get what they wanted, and rude to staff members. What I will say is the man from the hotel dealt with the situation incredibly well and I really do hope he gets some recognition for how it managed things.
Our room was spacious and clean and the staff were very helpful and friendly. This was a great base for exploring the surrounding areas including Switzerland. The selection for breakfast was great.

They charged me twice, because apparently the booking.com system didn’t talk to the ibis system. Waiting for my money to be transferred back.
Good value hotel, clean and had everything we needed for 1 night…close to Geneva Airport.

The online check-in did not work. The building is located in a relatively remote area.
The room and equipment was new and very clean. We had our own bathroom with towels and shower gel (it was in a large dispenser instead of small bottles, which I appreciate). Despite the room being relatively small, there was quite a lot of storage space thanks to multiple shelves. The power outlets were conveniently located near the bed. The reception is open 24/24.

The breakfast of coffee plus croissant was too expensive (4 euros) for too little. It´s better to walk 10 minutes to the nearest bakery for a decent and cheap breakfast. The sensitivity of the smoke detector to deodorants seemed incredibly high.
Very convenient hotel. Cheap, very clean, modern installations in excellent condition. A bit difficult to reach, but not too bad. Going by car might be better, but a 10 minutes walk leaves in the centre of Saint Genis and by the bus stop. Excellent staff.

Missing hairdryer, no small towel.
Fast check-in and check-out. Very kind personnel. Room not much big, but very clean and comfortable. Quiet place. Pretty good breakfast.

Too far from the airport - cost €40 in a taxi each way and took 25 minutes at 6pm. It would have been better to stay in a more upmarket hotel closer to the airport and probably saved money.

The entrance to the hotel site is a little out of the way and the path from the hotel into town is a bit overgrown particularly in the summer which made it hard to find initially.
The rooms are nice and clean and there is a good breakfast available. The location is a 5min walk to the nearest bus stop with easy access to Geneva and CERN site

The pillows smelled a bit like something not dried properly.
The location has a shortcut part on the face to the field, just 5 mins walk to the bus stop Porte de la France to Geneva.

The only fault with our stay was that the breakfast supplies were not refilled so we had to wait a long time for certain things including bread and the croissants were not refilled until we were leaving

The family room was not big enough for us, as we had big suitcases so that made everything a bit more challenging
The hotel was clean and the rooms were alright, pretty basic but what you would expect from an ibis budget. The staff was nice, we were able to use the breakfast room to give lunch to our children and there was a microwave.
