How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

Verified reviewJust across the road from train station. Easy access to the local attractions in this interesting compact town. Also buses close by for day trips to tourist attractions further afield. Lovely staff. Good breakfast but better when earlier. Best croissants I had during 8 weeks in Europe Seems to cater well for family groups with toys, dress-ups and play zone.
Extremely small room for our big suitcases needed for 2months varied travel. Very basic Quite hot so we took the quilt out of the cover as there was no top-sheet option Large hole in corner of shower/bedroom area which I photographed and reported to surprised reception. However we had friends in a room on the floor above who also had the problem so I think some maintenance is overdue.

Verified reviewThe hotel was perfectly located and the room was large and comfortable. It was very basic but functional. The breakfast set up was good and plenty of food and choice.
The reception area to Ibis Budget where you got the lift to the room was not particularly nice or clean.

To get by car to the hotel is very complicated. Parking lot is too expensive. No parking in front of the hotel.

Verified reviewBooked this hotel very late due to train changes and we could not have been happier. Right by Nimes train station, perfect for our late arrival. Very quick and easy check in. Very affordable room. Beds were very comfy. The breakfast was very reasonably priced with a very good array of continental.breakfast. . There was a dress up box in the reception of roman soldier toys which my little boy thoroughly enjoyed 😉 The staff were also very accommodating minding our bags during the day while we explored the local area. NIMES is a beautifull town, well worth visiting.

Verified reviewWe had a lovely comfortable stay, within easy walking distance of the centre. Having stayed here once before, we could see that the place has been improved massively and the staff this time were so much more friendly and helpful. Very comfortable room for the price we paid. Would recommend.
Nothing to complain about. Although, they did send an email with the option of parking for €12 in a nearby car park after we had already parked in a car park for €20. I wish they had sent it earlier!

Verified reviewTo be honest, breakfast was better than I could expect for the paid money.
The maintenance of some things in the room needs improving. There were broken details that were not functionally important but suggested that the management doesn't take seriously the impression this gives to the guests. Besides, a three-people room entails more than adding a bunk bed and another set of towels. There was not room for leaving the content of your luggage. Even for two people would have been difficult, so we spend the stay with the suitcases unpacked.

Verified reviewTrain station is just in front of the hotel, across a square. Very kind and helpful staff! All of the historical sites and museums are in walking distance from the hotel. Breakfast is really good. Car rentals just around the corner, restaurants and a supermarket is only a stone throws distance away.

The breakfast was personally lacking.. saw one whole-grain product but turned out it was carrot cake ahahah Maybe it was our fault but breakfast is different from france and norwegian coulture :) Also google maps showed us a completely different area so we had to be guided by the neighbour hotel to the entrance because google maps showed us an indian restaurant, very odd.
