How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

We took half board with the onsite restaurant, but our choice was extremely limited. The food was OK, but the service wasn't brilliant.
Great location and lots of parking. The hotel staff were great. A lovely bar area, and the breakfast was brilliant, lots of choice. It was only a few minutes walk from a large supermarket with restaurant. Also a coffee bar, bakery and other food places nearby.

Ideal location for stop over when heading to Germany or South of France from England. Staff very friendly and service in restaurant excellent. Safe, secure and free overnight parking. Rooms comfortable.

The room needed an upgrade. Not enough electric sockets and there was a serious water leak on the w.c. The restaurant was OK but service was very slow owing to insufficient staffing.
The staff were great and the location was good.

Rooms are quite small and basic but adequate. The restaurant is only open from 18:30 to 21:00.
Friendly and helpful staff. Clean room, nice bar and restaurant. Handy location, free parking. Late check in.

The directions were terrible. The address given took us to a roundabout 400 metres away. The hotel was hidden from the main road and we drove around for half an hour. You need whatthreewords.

I would have liked to have more choices at breakfast but have to say that there was enough for a decent breakfast.
Perfect if you need to stop near Reims as part of a car trip. Electric charge parking available which for us was a bonus!

The restaurant was not open for dinner, only snacks. The Court Paille next door was open, but I don't think it is part of Ibis. In any event, the food was ok, but the service was pretty awful at the restaurant. We had to hunt down a staff member to take our order after 30 minutes, even though there were lots of staff. They were just busy doing their own thing/talking etc and didn't come over.
Very comfortable and spacious room. Hotel has parking and a restaurant so ideal for a short stay on route home. The staff were fine but not particularly helpful. However, it was a great stop over for us.

Bed was not the most comfortable, very thin mattress which was very used in the center and it felt like sleeping on wood. No access to a refrigerator, which would have been helpful for our needs. No kettle in the room either.
Very friendly and helpful staff around the clock. Great location for our trip needs. Spacious bathroom, hot water at all times. Great heater for the room during cold nights. Very quiet area until planes start to fly off for practice around 8AM.

Friendly staff, good facilities and clean. Plenty of parking. Good soundproofing as couldn’t hear any noise from other guests. Good Courtepaille restaurant attached.

Well presented rooms and a real clean hotel. Its a short walk to the center where there are a number of restaurants and bars although its better served with your own transport. The staff were excellent, and real happy to ply us with beers all night! Its a good ride from Calais back to the tunnel, and this makes a great stop.

The music was too loud at breakfast. French rap music is not great at the best of times, but terrible at 8am. Staff were watching us eat which was quite off-putting.
Bed was very comfortable and breakfast was great.
