Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaNothing, all was amazing
The mixed dormitories were super comfortable as the beds are set up in a way that make them seem completely private from each other. The bathroom is clean and a very good size and setup. The kitchen is also very big with a great stove and microwave. There is also a washing machine and dryer for clothes which you have to download an app to use but this is doable.

CanadaThe location is perfect if you arrive by the train to Gare St Roch train station but over 45 min walk if arriving to Sabines Gare Routière by bus ( FlixBus), but they have a very convenient tram which was €1.90 for 1 hour 30 min and you can buy ticket at the tram station machine or online ( card only ). Locals ride for free so there is rarely ( once a month) person who checks the tickets.
Stayed in this hotel for second time with one week difference and it was such a different experience from my previous stay which was excellent. My roommate took my lower bunk bed without authorization, used the top bed sheets and the receptionist tried to convince me that it was clean, nobody slept on it. I doubted. Last time stayed at 501, 4 beds dorm, we had 2 sinks. This time they gave me room 700, only 2 beds room, the floor was dirty, my luggage got dirty. Locker was right next to the door so you couldn't open the locker without leaving the entrance door open, very bad planning. The girl at the reception told me that there's no other room available. I took the shower and went downstairs again. Requested to change the shits since I can't just rely in the assumption of receptionist that it wasn't used. They didn't know how to redo the bed and offered me to do it myself. I said that for €50 dorm I am not doing it myself. Guy at the reception was super nice and thoughtful and told me that he does has another room to offer to me. 701 was bigger, but only 1 sink for 4 people room, located just next to the bathroom so you need to move in order to let the person enter the bathroom. My locker was somehow occupied so we needed to empty it first. Kitchen I decided not to use this time since my food was taken last time and I did not wanted to end up having nothing for breakfast. There were no labels last time but my food was labeled from another hotel and despite that somebody decided to eat for free.

LatviaWe missed thr freezer or ice anywhere - it was neither in our room, not for common use.
The place is a colourful experience, the interior is a true creative surprise. We felt a bit like in a 50’s or 70’s movie with all the attributes and style around. We love the karaoke rooms and the rooftop views. The atmosphere was really cool and cheerfful. We also enjoyed the rooftop pool! Very comfortable, big bed, great mattress. Excellent location.

United KingdomAs mentioned, it would be nice if the toilets in the 'dorm' (shared flat) had sinks. Further, when leaving your luggage / bags with reception after check-out, and when lockers aren't available, it would be a good precautionary measure for you to take a photo of the bags you are leaving and for them to bring them out to you (or check that the bags you are taking are the ones in the photo), rather than allowing customers to walk into the room to take whichever bags they want. I think this is a crucial precaution they need to implement.
Located close to the station and within walking distance to all main landmarks. We booked a shared flat where the living room, toilets, and showers are shared, but you get a a private bedroom - it was great. Very clean, modern and convenient (although it would have been nice if the toilets had a sink in them rather than the shower room having the sink. There was also a shared balcony space with no smoking allowed. The amenities and social spaces in the hotel itself were also great - the ground floor has room for you to work, socialise and have a drink. The rooftop has a gorgeous bar and a raised pool with a view of the city. On the day of your departure, you can also leave your bags with the reception to collect them later; there is a limited number of lockers available, but they also have a room for baggage in case the lockers aren't available.

SpainMy room was on the side facing the train tracks, so it was a bit noisy.
Clean, pleasant enviroment. The pool was perfect for the warm weather. Nice and comfortable urban style common areas. Well thought out amenities in the dorm rooms, for example convenient charging stations for each bed unit. The common showers were nice and clean.

VietnamThe staff is not supportive when the air conditioning did not work for long time and i have informed the reception over times in person , but she did not assist me about that and until the of the day she changed my room to 6th with same useless air conditioning. My recommendation is that we should not choose this hotel from May to September.
Room is clean, good location which is nearby train station and not so far from centre. Breakfast is okay.

United KingdomAs much as I liked this hostel I had major problems. For a start; lots of things seemed to be out of action such as the rooftop pool and more importantly the air conditioning. Keep in mind this is the second hottest summer France has had on record. So the dorms were incredibly hot and stuffy. My first night was very uncomfortable so we opened the windows in the dorm to let the air in which made matters worse as mosquitos came in and I was bitten to pieces, and spent hours killing loads of the pests in my bunk pod. The manager kindly moved me to another dorm for my second night but that was exactly the same - no air con and more mosquitos. Also extremely inconsiderate people in the dorm who didn’t care one bit about hostel etiquette talked loudly, switched on lights, listened to music on their phone and generally just banged and crashed around in the middle of the night. I checked out a day early the next morning. I think this place may be a victim of its own success and can’t cope with the size of the building and how many guests it can host.
Modern, trendy super hostel just outside the city centre and near the railway station. The very spacious bar and restaurant area is amazingly designed and decorated. Beautiful. The manager Tomas is extremely professional and goes above and beyond to help you.

SpainNothing, except I didn't catch the name of the other guest I was chatting with in the pool, but that's very much my own fault.
The staff were lovely. The rooftop swimming pool was the perfect temperature even late at night. There was a comfortable bed in a quiet dorm, constant hot water and constant WiFi. Everything was very clean.

SloveniaThe window in our room didn't open (on 6th floor for safety reasons I guess) and the ventilstion/AC thermostat in our room wouldn't turn on so we were without air conditioning which made it stuffy and hot and hard to sleep since the room was small.
The pool was a great place to relax, and the apartment we stayed in had a well equipped kitchen and nice communal space

CanadaThe hostel is attached to a restaurant, very nice interior in the lobby! The room was nice, I stayed in a 6 bed female dorm, within the room, I was in a small room that held one bunk bed, a bit odd but was nice for reducing noise. The bathroom was clean and there were large lockers as well. The kitchen however was not the cleanest, a strange smell lingering and no labels left for personal food and no towels/ paper towels. The staff was nice and accommodating, was great to arrive early +/- leave later than check out and have your luggage stored for free. 😊

IcelandI have almost nothing bad to say. The rooftop with pool was closed since i was staying here in march, however that is understandable. Sometimes it was a bit hard to get someone to assist me at the desk/bar and my keycard stopped working twice. This were however minor problems.
