How guest reviews work

You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

We are sorry that your stay did not meet your expectations and, above all, did not meet the quality of service we strive to offer our guests. Our hotel is located on a highway, so noise is inevitable, which is why we offer rooms on the opposite side. An on-call number is displayed at the hotel entrance and in each room, and we are available even outside of opening hours to respond to your needs, such as a room change due to noise or bad smells. Finally, there is no mention that our reception is open 24 hours a day. You can check in at any time using the check-in kiosk. Reception hours are listed on the website or in the message you receive when you make your reservation. We hope that after these clarifications, you will still choose to stay with us. The breakfast was very pricey (25 euros for 2 of us) for not much. Cold meats, cheese and pastries for 25 euros seemed excessive. However overall, the hotel and room was very clean and comfortable.

Breakfast offers more than 40 choices: omelets, bacon, sausages, beans w/ tomato sauce, 4 regional cheeses, 2 regional cold meats, french white cheese, yogurts, fresh fructs, differents breads, various pastries, various cereals, 5 regional jams, honey from local beehives, spread, a plenty of hot drinks, 3 different fruct juices, and I'm sure that isn't all! It's excessive to write that for €25 you only get pastries, cold meats, and cheese, which is not true at all. Verified reviewThe young man on reception was very pleasant and professional and coped well with our faltering french and his English was excellent. He also served us 2 very cold fresh beers....very welcome! At breakfast time, he was attentive in clearing tables and restocking the food, and I must say that the coffee was excellent. The room was clean and functional, but a comfortable bed and good shower made up for the dodgy sliding door.

Verified reviewThis hotel goes beyond the traditional place to stay. It is a very picturesque place. Our check-in was as fast as you can imagine. The woman at the reception was very kind, friendly and polite. Near the hotel there are two chains of charging stations for electric cars, McDonald's, a restaurant. In addition, the hotel itself has a cafe. Dog-friendly. Free parking for hotel guests. Probably the spirit of the Templars and Hospitallers, who helped medieval wanderers, still hovers in these places.
We received only one electronic key. And when I walked with the dog in the evening my wife stayed without the light in the room. I had to take key for entrance.

Self service machine at entrance - not a great welcome. Spits out a card and let yourself in. We genuinely thought it was shut as in darkness and the one staff member had stepped away to do other duties. Room was cold - have to go to reception to get heating level adjusted. No real facilities for food in the evening. Appreciate it’s out of season but given the slightly isolated location it only has a McDonald’s next door. When we booked it Google maps made it look like other places near by but they are all shut. We would not use as a stopover again.

There was no walk in shower , only a shower over the bath which was difficult for me to access. The bath towels were very small, and not really big enough for an adult. The lighting in the room was ok around the beds and in the bathroom but poor around the desk area.

Check in took lot of time because Booking.com again failed to inform the hotel that the bill allready had been paid. For the airco you have to call the staff, butt nobody was there.

Verified reviewI would like to say that it's cheap and cheerful, but in reality long gone are the days of anything being cheap in France, it's just an expensive place to be. However it was on our rout and offered us a much needed opportunity get a bed for the night.
How, in France can a cheap bottle of wine cost 26€? France for goodness sake. So sad, everything is so expensive. The beds were tiny as was the room and the bar closed at 9pm, seriously?
