How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Breakfast could have had a bit more choice such has a hot meal.
It was full of character ideally situated to tour round the city of Bayonne.

It looked like needing a new refurbishing soon. Breakfast only at 7:30 is too late for travellers but very nice and well served

The bathroom definitely needs upgrading. The suite was old fashioned and needed a walk in shower. The radiators were old and rusty.
Staff were helpful, the room was clean.

You get what you pay for and this hotel exceeds that.
Location - absolutely perfect for a stop over on the way back to Calais. The hotel is tired but really good value for money, on site parking, bar, restaurant and really helpful staff…we ate at the hotel on this trip and the food was basic but really nice, sat outside with a cold beer whilst chatting to other guests - the positives really out way the negatives so not even going to mention those.

The lack of air conditioning (not a complaint: it was clear from the description) required an open window during a very warm night. Given the position next to the ring road and a busy junction ( also clear from the description), a good night's sleep was impossible.
Convenient (with car) for both town centre and airport. Excellent reception staff.

The hotel is tired but that’s not a criticism- it was clean and the bedroom was comfortable and clean.
The stands were excellent- we met Alexandra and Paco the chef. Alexandra was so welcoming and pleasant but also professional and checked us in in no time. We wanted to eat in and the menu was great but I am vegan and there was nothing for me. Alexandra asked Paco if he could do something for me. Of course - he said - and I had a three course meal that was so tasty - I was and am so thankful as I don’t always meet veganism with kindness in France. I was so grateful. Thank you both for making our stay so relaxing.

The location is horrendous at very busy crossroads in a commercial and industrial part of the outskirts of Poitiers, but then it also means easy access to the motorway.
This is an OK hotel with very nice staff and the breakfast above average. Rooms very basic but with tea/coffeemaking facilities. Although the actual location is not pleasant it is only around 2 miles from the lovely centre of town, so a forty minute walk. There are also frequent buses that stop just outside.

There was a very welcoming atmosphere and the staff were all amazing. The hotel was conveniently located just off the motorway and we had a great night sleep. Amazing value for money, probably one of the best value hotels we’ve stayed at.
