JerseyThe only downside was the mattress was very hard and uncomfortable on the king bed. Also, my children slept on a couple of chair beds , which weren’t very comfortable. I think they would be ok for younger children, but not ideal for teen children. One of the chair beds creaked throughout the night with every movement. Apart from that, the room was perfect for us.
The facilities were excellent. We only stayed one night , but we made use of the leisure facilities. The room was lovely and bright and spacious and the bathroom was fantastic!

United KingdomIt is not a pretty part of town but that really doesn't matter for a stopover.
I have stayed here a few times and use it when I am not planning to be by the seaside or in the trendy intramuros part of Saint Malo. It was just a layover before my return ferry the following day. It was a little more expensive than previous visits but then it was the height of August rather than some more wintery time of year. The hotel has an excellent swimming pool, spa and gymnasium. It does not have a restaurant but it serves what it calls "bar snacks" but which are actually excellent meals. It has some very good beer on tap too. The staff are delightful (Laetitia checked me in very efficiently in French but she speaks excellent English too) and the room was clean and comfortable. It has lots of secure parking, which was important for me as I had a car full of things after a trip to my house. Very excitingly for me as an electric car driver it is across the road from a McDonalds behind which are two high-speed charging stations that are very easy to use. I plugged in (at about 25%) and popped into McD's for a bite to eat. Once I was done the car was back up to 80%, which cost about £10. It completely removed the stress from my journey home. I also had breakfast at the hotel before I left in the morning and it was excellent - everything you could hope for and reasonably priced. It took 9 minutes to get to the port so I was there massively too early once again but that is my problem!
