How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Hotel is very small and cosy. Rooms are very clean, but WIFI connection is not stable. Nice location.

The location was great, very near Le Vieux Bassin but away from the crowds. Well furnished comfortable room with air conditioning. Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. We ate dinner in restaurant, again perfect food and service.

The hotel and staff were exceptional. They treated my dog like a member of their own family. And the entire experience was so worth the price. I look forward to an opportunity to stay with them again.

We have stayed here 3 times now and it is a perfect spot, the staff are fantastic and even left a personal note welcoming us by name ( even our dachshund ). Just a great experience.

This is the best hotel I have stayed at in years. The staff were so attentive and genuine. Particularly, Pierre on reception was super friendly and incredibly helpful, giving us excellent recommendations. Sandra was a ray of sunshine at breakfast! The room was bright, fresh with a very comfy bed. Location was superb (you can walk everywhere) and very close to a car park. We enjoyed a very relaxing private spa and massage which I would highly recommend. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Honfleur!

Being such an amazing location in centre of town, there was noise from a Honfleur festival event next door. But the noise finished by 22.30 so it was manageable for us. This event was not in the control of and was separate to the hotel.
Great stay in an amazing location. Hotel felt like it was new it was so spotlessly clean. Very comfortable. Fantastic service from all the staff. I look forward to revisiting sometime soon

There was nothing to dislike !!!
This hotel exceeded our expectations in every way: great location in old town, very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff, in particular, Pierre, who booked us excellent restos and had our laundry done for us in-house at a very reasonable rate as we were travelling by bicycle. Our room was beautifully decorated and appointed with the guest in mind with lovely decor, water, little treats, Nespresso machine and very nice modern bathroom. While the ancient facade has been retained, the interior is completely new! The breakfast was excellent, very high quality with lots of variety and great coffee!! Lastly, the owner was very kind and helpful, insisting on walking our dusty push bicycles to secured storage.

Piere was wonderful. We called when walking to the hotel from the bus stop for directions and he the came to us to guide us. It was very near. The staff helped us with restaurant reservations and their recommendations were great. The location could not be better. Best in Honfleur.

First day Receptionist could have been more polite, overall staff was polite and the ladies at the breakfast too
Room was spacious, renovated, clean, bathroom was well organised. Location was amazing. We could also take breakfast outside in the yard which is an extra bonus.
