The room was spacious and clean with a very warm and friendly welcome. Helped us with local restaurants. Parking on site, an outdoor pool with a small games room. Drinks such as sparkling or still water were available FOC along with coca cola or other drinks in a fridge. The breakfast was a highlight with home made yoghurts etc. Very chatty in the morning at breakfast asking where we were going to next after check out. We felt very welcome here and the bed was comfortable and the shower was excellent.

    Loved everything

This is a lovely place to stay with charming hosts. Everywhere was beautifully clean and nicely furnished and decorated. Our room was large and comfortable. The weather was very hot and the provision of an air conditioning unit in the room, which was put on before we got back from our day out, was a lovely touch. The bed was comfortable with good quality sheets and the shower worked well with plenty of hot water and nice shower gel/hand wash provided. The towels were changed every 2 days and pool towels were provided. The pool was a lovely additional facility which we enjoyed each day after a day of siteseeing. The lounges were comfortable and it was a nice facility to have cooled cans of soft drinks and water which we could help ourselves to from the drinks coolers in the common areas. We could also make ourselves tea and coffee downstairs in the breakfast room. We really enjoyed our breakfasts. The bread and pastries were of good quality and Isabella's home made jams were delicious as were the home made cakes she made each day for breakfast. We also enjoyed home made yoghurt, fresh fruit and freshly squeezed orange juice and local cheeses for breakfast. It set us up for the day and it was nice to chat to Patrick and Isabella. The parking behind the house was secure. We really enjoyed our stay

It might have been helpful to have a small chest of drawers in the room. There was a wardobe to hang clothes and a high shelf. This wouldn't stop us from returning though.

It was a true bed and breakfast - we fully enjoyed it. The property is beautifully decorated and the hosts are so friendly and helpful, despite our very limited french.

This is an outstanding choice for anyone planning to visit chateau around Amboise and the Loire Valley but wanting to be in a quiet, attractive location. La Closerie Saint Vincent itself is a beautifully presented former 19th century winery which has been extended and filled with works of art and character. However, the stars of this accomodation are the hosts Patrick and his wife who are some of the most engaging and generous hosts we have ever come across in many years of travel.

Nice touches like free soft drinks up where the snooker room was. Lovely bedroom with comfy duvet and pillows. Very quiet. They fixed some gluten free items for breakfast and that was really different with cheese and handmade jams and yogurt. Grounds lovely. The weather was also stunning

This property is located in a very small village. Chenonceau is about 20 minutes away by car. There is a park with a private chateau across the street. The park is free to tour but the chateau is closed. There is a small pharmacy a block away. There is on-site parking. The rooms are up a flight of narrow stairs (keep that in mind when deciding which luggage to bring). The room was large & very clean. The bed is a queen size & very comfortable. We really enjoyed visiting with the owner each morning over breakfast. He offered many recommendations for restaurants, etc. Breakfast included homemade yogurt & jams as well local cheeses & bakery goodies.

An exceptional place to stay for the first night of our French road trip. Patrick was there to welcome us on arrival and we were shown around his amazing property and the wonderful swimming pool. Our room was beautiful with everything we needed. As we arrived in 27c heat we took advantage of a swim in the pool which was delightful with the sunloungers around the pool, great views and complimentary drinks. A relaxing afternoon after a long drive. Breakfast was probably the best we have had at any guest house with home made preserves, yoghurts and delicious chocolate and raspberry cake. We were only staying one night but could easily hsve stayed more, Patrick and Isabelle have a beautiful home and we would definitely stay again in each a stunning area of France. Definitely a 5 star stay.
